"I spent about $2,000 or $3,000 on that work. They were very neat and put down a throw rug to track dirt around. They finished the work on time. They were a good company and treated us well. They did exactly what they said they would do. We did not really shop for price too much."

"Work was superb in all respects. The technician removed the old unit, covered the holes with sealant and screws (this was pressurized supply side), and installed the bypass humidifier with attention to detail that far exceeded expectations. I used a shop offer, and got a higher capacity unit w/o upcharge though I offered to pay the difference. I was given options regarding bypass duct routing, and the end result exceeded expectations in every respect. Indoor Comfort Team has more than earned my exclusive business for both of my heating/airco units."

"Meineke was quick, but it was also more painful than I expected it to be as far as price is concerned. Everything was done as scheduled and apparently correctly. My wife hasn't told me her car is doing anything she doesn't expect so I would say it is working correctly."

"I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with the service I received. Spire shut off my gas service I contacted at least three other companies and none of them would be able to get to me for two or three weeks. Chris from Vogel responded the next day by 21:30 AM. He assessed the situation and said he would be back the next day and would be bringing someone with him to help. He wasn’t sure if he would be able to get the job done by Friday afternoon but he stuck with it until it was complete. Unfortunately Spire said there were still issues. I called the company Friday evening and they made several notifications. Chris called me back and told me he would be back Saturday morning at 9 AM. He even showed up 15 minutes early made the necessary repairs and stuck around until spire showed up for the inspection. When I need a new furnace/AC I will definitely be contacting them. Thanks to everyone at Vogel who helped get my gas service turned back on. Everyone I spoke to was very kind and willing and anxious to help me."

"I had a great experience again with Peters out of Troy, Mo. They came out the same day I called. George was my technician and he couldn’t have been more friendly. He found the problem and had us up and running right away. Luckily it was only a blown fuse. George also gave me a few pointers on how to keep our finished lower level a little warmer and we’re going to give that a try. He was courteous and I would definitely recommend him and Peters again. Thank you for a great experience!"

"I called, and it turned out they didn't have a location open yet where the website said there was one, but they reimburse some for towing, so that helped. They were the only shop that could take me right away, so I basically picked them by default.||Bottom line: They did a good job with the repair, took only slightly longer than  originally estimated, and charge a high, but not unreasonably high amount. If I were in a bind again, I'd use them. If I had more time, I'd probably look around for somewhere cheaper."

"RLC was involved from beginning to the end.  Starting with a very thorough estimate; on acceptance of the contract, professional quality plans were drawn; permits submitted and work with third party electrical and dry wall companies coordinated. <br /> RLC worked with a structural engineer to establish the wall between the kitchen and the lounge was not load bearing and allowed cathedral ceilings to be extended across open plan lounge and kitchen. <br /> Invoices and prices were regularly updated so I was fully aware of project costs.  Robert was able to work with me on meeting budget constraints and offered solutions to keep costs down. <br /> Kitchen work involved: installing and hanging Ikea kitchen cabinets, identified the slope in floor before the kitchen island was laid and compensated by building appropriate correction in to the plinth. Coordinated with third party to install granite countertop. <br /> Robert personally built a Franklin Lloyd Wright inspired stairwell with clean lines, accurately proportion and sturdy construction. <br /> Robert Lay Construction was onsite and on time every morning at 7am.  The worksite was left clean and tidy at the end of every day.  RLC appeared to have all the appropriate equipment to make sure the job was done. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"We have a contract with them. There was just one worker. It took a couple of hours to complete the work. It seems the last time they gave out the service window it was kind of long."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Farmington, MO

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
