"Vincent is incredibly responsive. He quickly made time to come check my AC unit and then a leak later on. In both cases, he talked me through step-by-step what his diagnosis was and gave me several options for solutions. He’s very knowledgeable and I trust his recommendations to be reasonable and honest."

"Let me just tell you that the owner, DAVID, is dishonest. The FIRST time something bad happened, one of his guys fell through our ceiling. THAT he was kind enough to fix. THEN one of his guys put a pan in wrong, caused ALL THIS WATER DAMAGE, so much our ceiling caved in....he came out and SAID he would fix it, but did he? NOPE RADIO SILENCE. These guys do not know what they are doing, and the owner DOESN'T CARE."

"Chris and Carlos run an incredibly customer friendly, highly skilled and fair priced business. They are responsive to a call out request, can quickly diagnosis and fix problems. I have had them repair both my A/C and Heating system. I found them as a recommendation from my excellent general contrator during a major home rennovatoin. They are my trusted partner for HVAC as a home owner. They are there to fix what is broken not try to upsell to a replacement before it is really needed."

"Filled our a/c unit with freon $513.21 without first checking for leaks and the next day it was empty of freon. Quoted $1800 for a new head unit plus trip charges and labor. New A/C contractor said they should have tested the system first and that only the coils needed to be replaced. So disappointed and out over $500 a senior on a fixed income. Pitiful, Do not recommend."

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Fate, TX

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
