"It turned out okay.  He came out and I told him we needed to power wash, he said it wouldn't be good for the windows so he came back after we power washed.  Overall they were fine, very nice guy.  There was a delay because he got hurt I think.  I didn't see anything different from other vendors, I guess he was comparable.  The quality was definitely good.  We did have a problem getting a hold of him with no response for a week or two.  Finally responded to an email and explained the situation.  He was here on time.  Yes I'd use their service again."

"I was not sure of where best place was to hang paintings and mirrors .Factors to be considered in making the decisions are  the surface and  composition  of sites,lighting near site ,if is a wall attached to another room or attached to outside wall and weather related factors.Placement is determined by personal tastes but there are practical and architectural considerations I failed to appreciate until he shared them with me.Tom was able to inform me of all factors to be considered and guide me .He was not pushy nor did i feel uncomfortable by my lack of knowing the ins and outs of such a job. "We had hired Waheed back in 2008 to replace our kitchen Formica countertop with a granite countertop.  He was very professional and courteous.  He supervised the job from beginning to end.  The new countertop exceeded our expectations.  He gave us a beautiful radius on the island corners which we did not expect.   We needed 2 slabs to accommodate 40 linear feet of countertops plus a 5 1/2 foot long by 40" wide island.   We receive a lot of compliments from our family and friends.
This January, we needed to replace our accessory apartment kitchen Formica countertop.  We didn't hesitate to call Waheed again.  He came and gave us an estimate.  He sent us to pick the slab from his warehouse.  We wanted a white Carrera quartz countertop and we had so many to choose from.   The new countertop was installed 1 week after the template was taken.  We would recommend Waheed to anyone needing a new countertop.  He is very pleasant to work with."

Drywall/Paint work was good.  They purchased all the material needed for the work. Pricing was based on Labor/Material. 
Bathroom tiles near vanity/mirror/behind toilet: The finish could have been a little better but the space was a bit cramped so I can understand. 
They helped fix a few additional things that were not in our agreement for free. For example, towards the end of the contracted work we noticed water leaking from another bathroom tub. Aziz applied some grout free of charge. A few days later, we realized that the water leak issue in the tub wasn't fixed so we called Aziz and he came over within a day or two and refinished the tiles. We have not noticed any leaks since then. Aziz also installed a few laminate tiles in the closet free of charge.
He was prompt in responding to my request for a quote and was available to start work within a short period. Work was completed over 3 days (as per plan). He was also responsive for small followup work that we needed."

"I just purchased a new home and was excited to renovate the basement so that our family could enjoy the space we newly acquired. As a new owner, I had lots of ideas that I wanted to do with the space. I met with a few contractors that were highly rated on Angie's list.  I ultimately chose to work with Paul Lopa Designs and I learned a few valuable lessons throughout this process:
Lesson 1: Work with someone who obviously knows more than you do.
After respectfully listening to my ideas, Paul gave suggestions that were completely different.  I immediately realized that he knew what he was doing. Unlike the other contractors, Paul came to the table with a designer's eye. His suggestions allowed me to maximize the space and added overall  value to my home. All of the other contractors were ready to do as I said and gave me quotes as such. However, now that the project is over, I realize that had I approached this from my perspective....I would have made a big mistake.  Also with two kids and a business, I did not have time to figure everything out or micro-manage a project or a contractor.  I trusted in Paul's suggestions, design recommendations and ideas.  I am thrilled with the results. 
Lesson 2: A contractor should operate to the standard that any other business would in today's day and age.
Paul always communicated with me. He has a great website and app that allowed me to see the progress of my house. He built a schedule and kept to it.   He operates his business with transparency and believes in communication.  Even after we were done, Paul still takes my calls with the same attention.  My old house had a lot of unfortunate surprises, but I trusted in Paul's advice and suggestions. I do not regret anything that we decided on and I trust that he advised me well. He operates his business knowing that being honest, delivering quality work, making sure the client is satisfied and remaining transparent will get you business....and he is right. 
Lesson 3: Good work will cost $, bad work will cost more $$$.
Paul did not come in the cheapest, but he also was not the most expensive.  Also, he made suggestions (like remove my boiler/ water tank and upgrade to High Efficiency Combo Unit so I could gain more basement living space) that made sense.  In addition, ALL of Paul's guys and specialists were professional and quality.  I believe that I paid a fair price for the quality and level of service I received.   I am scared to think how much money this would have cost me (either now or later) if this work was not done well or to the detail that Paul gave it.
Lesson 4: Work with someone who actually cares about their reputation and your satisfaction.
This should be obvious...but with contractors...not always the case.
Overall, Paul did an incredible job.  He was a joy to work with and I am grateful that I chose to work with him.  When the time comes to renovate the main floor and second floor, I will contact him immediately and hire him. I really feel that I have found a great partner with Paul and would not even consider working with another company.  He proved to me that he knows what he is doing and has my best interest in mind.   I enjoy my home more and more each day and I sincerely have Paul to thank for this.

"Since I Moved to New York me and my husband we find that  it will be a big problem for as to find a good contractor that can help us to get done the construction and remodeling at our new house that we bought in woodlands ..
The first problem was that houston doesnt have any specific requirements, certification or license for contractors  what means is it a big problem to track them ..
The second problem we had that we did t have any friend for recommendations...
We found a couple of contractor on home daviser and yelp and we decided to give a try...
We received a couple of bids form them and we decided to go with the one that gave us the best bid ...,,Houston Renovation & Remodeling,, But after they begin the work we find out that this company has very poor experience in construction and the worst think was   that they begin to overcharge us saying that a lot of thinks waren t indicated in the bid.. Yes we where very upset   and we decided to not work with that company.. We called again the company's that we received the bids and we asked them to rebid the job and we asked them to specify all the details that will be included and witch not..  After we received the new Bids Structurelne Construction Has the most accurate bid they also specify all the details even the garbage removal...  My husband sad that he will go with Structure Construction  and I was agree with..
It took approximately 2 month for them to finish the Remodeling In our 4 bedroom House but  we are very satisfied with the results ..
They helped us to update the old 2 Bath, replacing all ceramic tiles and bathtubs..
We did replaced all flooring in the house we did update our old kitchen and closets...
and walls Restoration, new moldings  and painting.   Now all looks great and we are happy with the changes we did in the house..
