With Matthew's help, today the 6 light fixtures were replaced, a necessary wireless carbon detector and GFCI outlet installed, and for fun and convenience, 2 USB outlets given. Special note: the GFCI outlet wasn’t a simple swap-out. Nate had to cut into the trim for that installation, which he did incredibly cleanly and precisely. Yes, Marcus Garcia and his Jen2 team are prompt, polite, hardworking, from start to finish and estimate and price the work accurately and fairly. There is more to the story. We attempted to contact eight Pueblo and Pueblo West Companies to clear the tall grass, weeds, and brush that was rapidly overtaking our desert landscaped property. We sent them all a brief standardized description of the work and the land areas involved. Jen2 alone, responded immediately, came out the same day to estimate the work, and a week later our acre size yard was restored and cleared, and we were delighted with the work done. The other service companies contacted either failed to respond altogether or sent prefabricated emails and text messages within the time it took Jen2 to finish the work. So, start by contacting Jen2 if you have tall grass, weeds, and brush removal job, and avoid the disinterested candidates."

"Appointment was made for next day service (which was great) after buying 2 hours labor for $99 using Angie deal. There was a $45 travel charge to come up to Monument from Colorado Springs. Plumber quickly fixed the two leaky Delta faucets and diagnosed that the cold water supply pipe leak (under bathroom sink) will require a brand new Delta faucet. He gave recommendation to go and order the new faucet on the Delta website. Next he spent 5-10 minutes to troubleshoot the high water pressure issue - he stated it could be the main water pressure regulator, the hot water tank temp-pressure relief valve (which was leaking slightly), or the water expansion tank. He gave me instructions on how to increase the air pressure in the expansion tank with an bicycle air pump, told me to call back if it didn't work, and then left. This was all completed within 45 minutes out of the two hours purchased. I paid for the faucet parts and travel fee. I followed the instructions to increase the air pressure in the water expansion tank later that day but couldn't reduce the house water pressure down to nominal levels. I called the next day as instructed and they then told me I would need to replace the water pressure regulator and it would cost $289 plus travel fee. I explained that the plumber left early without solving the high water pressure issue and that there was unused time that I felt should have been spent on working this issue when he was there. They offered to waive the travel fee but told me that she could not separate the labor and the parts to replace the water pressure regulator. She was not able to quantify what part of the $289 was labor and which was the part cost. I expressed my disappointment but she did not offer any other options. I then decided to call another plumber on Angies List and give the business to someone else due to the lack of satisfaction for this part of the service. I got it fixed later that week.


Update: In response to the company's response - I guess my basic question is why couldn't he have spent the rest of the 1 hour and 15 minutes troubleshooting the water expansion tank himself? or the PRV after that? It seems unfair to task the customer to do extra troubleshooting when there was plenty of time left for the professional (who knows what he is doing) to work on problem. Instead he left early and apologized that he had to take another phone call on his way out the door. I am considered a pretty down-to-earth, reasonable guy, but this just left me scratchin' my head. 

Update: To be fair on positive things as well - I am happy to report that I took the plumber's advice to check out the Delta website.  I contacted them and explained the diagnosis of a crack in the copper pipe below the sink. They asked for photos (which I took and sent via my phone) and they are currently sending a new faucet set for me (the original is discontinued - so hopefully they are sending something close to the original style). So that was good advice and great service (life time warranty) for Delta faucets!"

"The technician showed up on time on the scheduled day. However they had a propane water heater instead of gas with them at the time. Apparently some kind of mixup on the paperwork at the office. The gas version of the same water heater was only available from their warehouse in Pueblo, and would take a minimum of two days to arrive. Due to the mixup, they agreed to do the installation of the water heater after hours at no additional cost to accommodate our schedule, since we were unable to arrange to be home again during the day that week. Installation went smoothly and i have no complaints about the work performed. Have used this company for other smaller plumbing tasks and they are reliable and reasonably priced for plumbing services. would use them again.
