"David did a great job.  I thought we had a problem with our Master Spring but he determined that the spring was fine and did not need to be replaced. He suggested some maintenance work be done. He moved and lubed   a couple of roller mounts,  secured the garage door motor more securely, added rubber padding to the bottom of the door on both sides to make it seal properly and adjusted the tension on the spring to make the door move up and down more easily. Took about an hour and well worth it."

"On the date of installation Brian and the installer came out to do the job. They were on time. The installer did an excellent job installing the new door. I am very pleased with my new garage door, and have received many compliments."

"JC was wonderful, knowing that we were under the gun to get the repair done quickly, he was able to make time and did a beautiful job repairing our kitchen pipe and surrounding wall and cabinets. He gave us a list of things that we could do and/or purchase in advance to limit his time so that our cost was reduced. JC was honest and very flexible. JC was also very pleasant to work with, and although he doesn't list it, he is very good with little children who are interested in watching him work. In addition, he was very willing to answer a few odds and ends questions I had about other issues I had with the house. I would work with JC again any day."

"Our elderly wooden double garage door finally stopped working, losing rollers and going off the rails. I called Performance Building Products for a quote, and received one from Aaron by e-mail the next morning. We discussed options by e-mail and he came out on the next day that we were available to look at the site and give us a firm price. He ordered the door and it was installed 8 days later. <br /> The door looks good, it was done in less than a day, and the installers cleaned up well. They had to do some planning and fiddling to make things work in our old garage. Everyone I dealt with was prompt and professional. I had quotes from other companies, and while PBP was not the least expensive, their lead time was shorter. I would happily recommend them. <br />"

"Called F&W Fence to provide bid for installing chain link fencing.  Came within a week of contact to do that (he mentioned that work was 6 weeks out).  The fence was installed within 3 weeks (small enough job they could fit me in).  Price was fair and the work was excellent.  I would definitely use F&W Fence again. <br />"

"I have been using them for 3 years for multiple projects and would not go to somebody else. They also built a cabin in the woods. It was built 10 miles from the road so it was like carrying all the stuff up the path. They also did the garage and remodeling of the house, mostly kitchen and a little bit of plumbing work in the bathroom. I am still using them and I would be using them for the next thing that will be coming up too."

FAQs for garage door installation and replacement projects in Florence, OR

Yes, you can replace just one panel if your door is sectional and the damaged panel is available. Most modern residential garage doors have four to six horizontal panels that can be individually replaced. However, finding an exact match becomes challenging for older doors or discontinued styles. For doors over 15 to 20 years old or with multiple damaged panels, a complete door replacement might be more practical and visually consistent.

Minor dents or cosmetic damage can often be repaired without replacing the entire panel, potentially saving you money. However, if the damage affects the door's operation, security, or structural integrity, replacement is often a better investment.

For extensive damage to multiple panels or older doors where matching is difficult, full door replacement might be more economical in the long run than multiple individual panel replacements.

Your garage door panel might be repairable if the damage is superficial and doesn't affect functionality. Small dents in aluminum panels, minor scratches, or cosmetic issues often don't require full replacement. However, replacement is often necessary if the panel is warped, has large holes, shows extensive rust, or affects how the door operates. A professional garage door technician can evaluate the damage and recommend whether repair or replacement offers the best value and durability.
