"Unexpected delays; job is not complete yet. No Problems. After old cabinet and wall removal, we had an inspection and got a surprise. The inspector requested we remove all drywall from ceilings in 2 rooms, kitchen and adjoining room (not in the Plan!). Bruce was patient explaining what was next, why the extra work and cost had to be, and the impact it would have on his timeline. He was very fair and made us feel confident about the project, though the whole ordeal was a stressful thing to deal with. All of this has set our finish date back. Which gives me the chance to do another review. I intend to post a before and after photo if allowed. Bruce has given us fair pricing and is thorough in answering all of our questions. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and methodical. He's always patient, even with all of our change orders! I definitely want to hire him for other custom projects down the road. Photos included are original kitchen and pass-through that was removed. Tear out was ugly, so here's an up- to-date pic from today."

"From start to finish I could not be happier.   I had an idea (a rough idea) of what I wanted to do.    Dan sat with me (listened with patience) and helped me work through the details of my project, he talked to me about what was important and what was not... after he helped me design the building and details that went along with it.    Along the way he worked with me to make adjustments to the design, as well as offered ideas and solutions to reduce my cost (he saved me about 15%).   There were things I didn't think about when I put my plans in place, Dan communicated with me along the way allowing me to think through the changes as well as the pros/cons of doing so.   There were changes we made along the way that make a lot of sense now that the building is complete.   Amazing work!!! <br /> To find a builder who can complete the work start to finish, stay true to his commitments, and more importantly listen to you is not easy to find.   Dan fits this mold. <br /> I have worked with at least 10 builders in the last 20 years...   this is the first review I have written.   The reason I am writing this review is Dan did an awesome job!    From start to finish communication was great, the work was awesome, and the price was right.    With 100% confidence I would recommend Dan and Patriot Builders to take on a small project to building a high end 6,000 sq foot home.   I am attaching my personal cell phone if you would like to personally talk to me - Frank (913) 461-7217  I will be more then happy to show you the work he did. <br /> Dan, thank you!   Its nice to work with folks who get stuff done! <br />"

"It went GREAT! I called, got an answering machine (no problem), left a message and had a return call in under 1/2 hour. I talked to him about a few minor things I needed fixed and he said he'd be right over to look at everything and give me an estimate. His estimate was totally fair, and said he was a little busy, but could get to me not the following week, but the week after. I think this was on a Friday - because on Monday, he called and said he had a break and could send some guys over this afternoon!!! Wow, a week early! All the electrical work was pretty straight forward and easily done, they took the time to bring over grout samples to match the existing grout and showed me how the pvc was not properly installed and how it needed to be fixed. I thought it looked odd and where it was leaking, was just a small section of pvc that wasn't secured at the joint! So, they made that right, no more leaking! The guys were cordial, professional and I would not hesitate to hire them again. <br /> <br />"

"IHS is a little on the pricey side but they have the best customer service around. Unfortunately, because of the price we went with someone else. However, they were very professional and were the most punctual and responsive company that submitted bids for our addition. <br />"
