"After quoting me an hourly rate for any job he would do for me, he added an extra 3 hours on the bill, stating it was for traveling, the use of his tools and truck, and for standing in line to get parts (he needed only a very few small parts that I didn't have). I can understand maybe paying for his time getting any spare parts but, I think everything else should be included in the flat hourly rate he quoted me in the beginning. He seems to be very knowledgeable, and does pretty good work but, he left me a huge mess to clean up after installing a ceiling fan that could have been avoided if he had just put the packaging, extra hardware, and every other piece of trash back in the box as he was unpacking and installing it."

"Handyman Carpentry came through for me and my family! Our door was kicked in and I needed to feel safe immediately. Mr. Kevin came through with a fast response, and great work. He kept in contact throughout the entire time! Reasonable and fair pricing. This was an emergency for me and Mr. Kevin and his squad came through. We will definitely be calling on him again for more carpentry and home improvement jobs! Thank you and I pray nothing but growth and success for you and your business!!"

We started OFS to make framing predictable—by showing our work, sharing assumptions, and inviting partners into the process. Today we deliver multifamily and single-family (BTR/BTS) projects across Texas, with thoughtful expansion underway. Our promise is straightforward: clear commitments, honest reporting, and workmanship that stands on its own.\n\nOur mission is to build strong frames so we can maintain stronger partnerships. That means safety that’s proactive, quality that’s documented, and accountability you can see—not just hear about. If you value clear plans, clean execution, and data to back both, we’d like to build with you.

"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"Mr. Delgado and his team were very professional, courteous, and respectful. Their attention to detail was outstanding. If Mr. Delgado happened to encounter what he considered to be a problem during the installation process, he would take the time to explain the issue and had a solution without surprising me with any additional expense. With so many things that can go wrong when hiring a contractor, it feels great when you're fortunate to find someone who cares about their reputation and the quality of their work! Great Job!"

"Jane and her team were the favorite part of my remodel project. They were fair, punctual, hard working and most of all extremely competent. The guys actually doing the work cleaned up after every single day (important for me as I have 3 kids and a puppy) and were quick to respond to any concerns I had. Jane's team even helped me 'upcycle' an old desk I had by beautifully painting and restoring it. They didn't have to, but they even insisted on lugging that huge (and heavy) desk upstairs as they knew how excited I was to have it in my son's room. I could not recommend them enough. Thank you Jane and team!!!"

FAQs for carpentry framing installation projects in Fredericksburg, TX

Both steel and wood can last over 100 years with proper care. However, wood could rot or warp when exposed to moisture, whereas galvanized steel is rotproof, insect-proof, and much more fire-resistant. Steel is friendlier to the environment as it doesn’t require cutting down trees, and the frame can be recycled. The energy-efficiency rating of metal stud framing can be higher than conventional wood construction. Metal studs are easier and quicker to install.

Whether you’re using wood or metal stud framing, follow the “16 on center” rule, meaning you should have a stud every 16 inches. A 20-foot wall spans a total of 320 inches. This works out to 20 spans of 16 inches, plus one starting stud, for a total requirement of 21 studs to frame a 20-foot wall.

Drywall installation costs $1.15 to $2 per square foot on metal stud framing or $2,300 for an average 2,000-square-foot house. The total cost for metal framing and drywall ranges from $20 to $30 per linear foot. Metal frames often seem light, but they can be exceptionally strong once drywall or sheathing is attached.
