"We have used Freestate to periodically trim our trees and always found Ben (owner) to be professional and more than fair in his pricing. When the heavy winds came through Friday a large tree split and a huge brach (more like a small tree - see photo) crashed down on our neighbor's roof, puncturing it. Our neighbor didn't know who to call so I called Ben. He happened to be in our neighborhood dealing with another downed tree and said he'd come over that night; and he did. The crew off-loaded some heavy machinery and promised to be back in the morning. Promise kept. By end of that day (Saturday) the branch was off the roof, the the split tree (a 70 footer) was down and the crew temporarily patched the neighbor's roof. While they were here I asked Ben to take down two other white pines that are notorious for shallow roots and fragile limbs. He did so at a great price. The neighbors and I are extremely satisfied. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!"

They were prompt, showed up on the appointment date on schedule, and completed the job ahead of their original estimate. "It didn't go very well for me at first. The person that was doing the painting didn't do a good job. He said he didn't know he was supposed to take the nicks out of the door and fill them in with putty and then paint over them. He just painted the door and the nicks that I wanted out were still in there. That's okay, they sent someone else out and fixed it and satisfied it with me. I had asked for the repair and the guy didn't have the equipment. He said he didn't know that he was supposed to fix the door. He thought he was just supposed to paint the door, not fix the nicks all over. The wood on the door had nicks in it. Like I said, they took care of it. I'm satisfied with what they did. I called them, told them what my problem was, they sent someone else out, the guy fixed the door, and now I'm happy with it. When I called, she sent someone out the very next day."

"My husband and I wanted to have a deck added to the back of our house. We called Buzz and had him come over to discuss adding the deck. Buzz and my husband walked around the house to look at location and size. My husband also talked to Buzz about the design that would fit our needs. 
The job went well overall. Buzz was out of town, on vacation while the work was being done, but he did keep in contact with us.  I feel that the workers he sent out were on their own schedule.
After the deck was complete, Gary and I were very pleased.There has been some minor warping of some of the boards and Buzz has been very responsive to resolving the issue.

"Steve Hessler was very professional in providing an estimate to replace the front porch.  The crew showed up a little later than expected due to a flat tire.  They finished the job in one day and removed all of the debris.  Yard was left very clean and no damage to landscaping. One minor issue was addressed and corrected within a week.  Overall we are pleased with the outcome.
