Small jobs welcome

"I couldn’t be more satisfied with the TV mounting service. From start to finish, the experience was professional, efficient, and stress-free. Jovani A. Lara arrived on time, came fully prepared, and took the time to ensure the TV was mounted securely, perfectly leveled, and positioned exactly where I wanted it. Jovani and Jose were very knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, and even offered helpful suggestions for the best viewing angle and cable management. The work area was kept clean, and everything was done with great attention to detail. My TV looks amazing and feels extremely secure. If you’re looking for high-quality, reliable TV mounting done right the first time, I highly recommend this service with Jovani and his team! Truly excellent work!"

I called DraperyKing and my call was promptly returned to set-up an appointment for consultation at no charge.  David arrived on time for the appointment.  He listened to the vision and needs I had for the windows.  Once he understood what my goals were, he provided ideas and options for me to choose from, (roman shades, blinds, curtains, etc.).  David also provided a clear explanation of the transparency/privacy the different options and types of materials would provide.  He was also very helpful with color selection, (from sample books) to ensure it would blend nicely.  David is a professional and it shows!  On the day of installation, the installer arrived on time.  He was courteous, working neatly and quickly caring about all the details.  He even had to reposition one of the shades; he voluntarily puttied in the small holes and had the proper color of touch-up paint!  This gentlemen was fantastic!  The first time I used the shades the tension appeared a little off on two of the shades so I called David.  He responded quickly and fixed the concern with no difficulty.  Overall, this experience was great and I highly recommend them.  It is refreshing to work with qualified, professionals.  Thank-you DraperyKing!

"Overall I'm pleased.  The shutters look great and they were delivered within the time frame promised.  I was also impressed that when they came out to measure and again to install I was called to let me know they were on the way prior to the appointment time.
The installers removed the existing wood blinds from the windows and stacked them in a pile in one room prior to installing the shutters  I was slightly surprised they didn't haul them off for me or even ask if I wanted them hauled off.  If you think about it many other items you have replaced in your home are hauled off as a normal part of the service such as fence panels, garage doors, mattresses, carpet etc.  I do have to caveat this though as I work from home and was on a conference call when the installers finished and couldn't really speak with them.  Additionally, the installers took down one set of drapes (I think the mounting interfered with installation of the shutters) and again, I was a little surprised they left the drapes on the floor and did not offer to rehang them.
I would definitely work with DFW Premium Shutters again.  The shutters look great and the installation related concerns I mention are of low significance but are the difference between a good experience and an awesome experience.

FAQs for blinds or shades repair projects in Frisco, TX

If you're wondering whether repairing your blinds is worth it, consider the quality and age of your blinds. For high-end or custom blinds, repairing them can preserve their quality, functionality, and design, making repair a smart choice. Immediate repairs maintain the original look and performance. However, if your blinds are over six years old, extensively damaged, or of lower quality, replacing them might be more cost-effective, as new blinds offer better efficiency and modern technology. Weigh the repair costs against the benefits of replacement to make the best decision for your situation.

When damage undermines the integrity and appearance of your blinds, replacement becomes the clear option. You should replace your blinds when damage to slats or fabric prevents you from obtaining an exact match, thereby compromising appearance and function. Severe damage increases repair complexity and expense. Replacing blinds not only restores superior performance but also creates an opportunity for aesthetic upgrades and lasting benefits.

You should plan to replace your blinds at least every 10 years, with clear signs of wear, such as discoloration, deterioration, or functional issues, emerging by five years. Regular evaluation of style, quality, and performance supports an informed decision. While minor repairs may temporarily extend usability, a complete replacement secures optimal operation and updated design.

Establish a regular maintenance routine to keep your blinds looking and functioning their best. Clean them regularly with mild, specialized products and follow the manufacturer's recommended usage guidelines. UV-blocking window film can protect against fading and warping from sun exposure. Regular inspections and proactive maintenance will preserve their appearance and performance, extending their overall lifespan.

If you pull the blind string and it does not move, it indicates a malfunction in the mechanism, such as a broken cord, a jammed cord lock, or a stuck component. Inspect the string for breaks and examine the headrail for any obstructions. Replace the defective cord or cord lock as necessary to restore proper operation and maintain functionality.

Yes, you can replace your blind string yourself by using a replacement kit available at home improvement stores. Accurate measurement of the string diameter is essential for a perfect fit. Gather the necessary tools and follow the manufacturer’s instructions rigorously to secure a safe, lasting fix. If the task demands more time than anticipated, hiring a professional is advisable to avoid further damage.
