"Becca arrived much later than the one hour window we were given of 2pm-3pm...arrived about 4:30pm...but since she was able to repair the blinds to the extent we needed...they were jammed and my dad just wanted to be able to have them unjammed and to be able to open and close them again and Becca achieved that...we will overlook the lateness and give 5 stars. She also measured and showed us samples and quoted us a price if my dad decides to replace them in future. The current blinds are old metal ones that were installed at least 40 years ago. So, all in all, we are satisfied and will call on Bloomin' Blinds again for future needs. Thank you!"

"In August 2022, after hearing about DFW Improved on a home improvement radio show, we entered into two contracts with them for a roof replacement and interior water damage repair. These contracts were based on insurance-approved scopes following the 2021 ice storm. DFW Improved began the roof replacement project first. Following the replacement, the roof continued to leak due to their failure to replace the flashings. Despite corresponding work items in the insurance scope (confirmed later by the insurance adjuster's email), the DFW Improved salesperson insisted that flashing was not part of the roof. He threatened legal action if further payment was not made. Prior to this, they presented two identical model shingles as choices, which their own roof subcontractor on-site disclosed. Upon our inquiry via email, instead of addressing the issue, the salesperson accused us of defaming their company. Furthermore, they quoted $900 for a non-existent siding hole and estimated $25,000 for a bookcase, which their own designer valued at $6,000 to $7,000. While the roof leaking issue was still unresolved, DFW Improved began interior work. Instead of submitting the agreed supplement request as agreed, they skipped necessary steps to cut water-damaged drywall. To prevent wasted effort, we instructed workers to stop. The salesperson responded, stating that workers would not proceed with any work not approved by insurance. However, he emailed the insurance company claiming that the work had already been completed, causing significant confusion for us. During the halt period, we sent out numerous issues such as broken air pipes, cracked roof rafters, missing insulation, roof holes, missing felt paper, and a leaking roof. However, we received no response other than prevaricate explanations and demanding for money. We escalated to the DFW Improved upper manager who responded that they are their best team members and disregarded our request for an alternative project team. DFW Improved abandoned the projects and warranties, and initiated separation in December 2022. Both parties engaged in negotiations over separation costs. During this process, DFW Improved unexpectedly sent four individuals to our house, claiming to inspect texture work and demanding payment. Subsequently, DFW Improved placed a lien on our house, and their lawyer sent a demanding letter stating they would auction our house and (quote)“sue Vigorously” if payment was not made, despite the mediation/arbitration clause clearly outlined in the contracts. Under this pressure, we filed a claim in Tarrant County Small Claims Court, where the lien was placed. Later, their lawyer filed a motion to transfer the case to Collin County, where DFW Improved is based. We refused to comply with a demand for $5,000 and the confidentiality requirement during mediation. DFW Improved filed a new case simultaneously in the higher Tarrant County District Court, demanding a new amount of $59,845 and seeking to enforce the lien, providing no explanation for this amount. According to their co-owner's email, their accounting book calculated that we owed them a total of $1,260 (detailed below). During pre-mediation discussions, their lawyer attempted to justify their request for $8k, citing that a significant portion was allocated to attorneys' fees. We did not engage their lawyer to send us a threatening letter containing false statements about suing us without mediation. Their lawyer also declined $65 public mediator service provided by the Tarrant Small Claims Court. Additionally, they unilaterally escalated the dispute to a higher court. We have never been late with their payments. In fact, DFW Improved made a math error by crediting the blind work twice. When we brought this to their attention, DFW Improved spent extra time correcting the invoice, and their salesperson initiated an internal investigation. Any delay was certainly not caused by us. DFW Improved filed a lien attempting to collect the costs again, despite already receiving payment. Indoor shutters repairs FAQs

Yes! If your shutters have minor issues like broken hinges or misaligned panels, they can usually be repaired to restore their function and appearance. Repairing your shutters is often a cost-effective way to maintain their durability and curb appeal. However, for vinyl and composite shutters with extensive damage, it might be more practical to replace them to ensure they perform well in the long run.

Replacing a shutter costs $250 to $700 on average, and this cost covers both removal and installation processes. The expense includes proper disposal of the old shutter and ensures that a new, secure shutter system is installed. Additional fees may arise based on disposal requirements and professional service protocols.

Replacing shutters is not a complex undertaking when proper care is taken. The process requires careful alignment, precise fit, and secure fastening to ensure that the shutters function correctly and enhance the home's appearance. Attention to detail during removal and installation is critical, and skilled professionals provide the expertise needed to maintain both safety and design integrity.

Window shutters cost between $25 and $500 per panel, and this price range reflects the variety of materials and design options available. The cost stated excludes additional hardware and installation fees, which ensure the shutters are securely fixed and aesthetically pleasing. High-quality components lead to long-lasting performance while professional installation safeguards proper alignment.

Window shutters last between 20 and 25 years on average when they are properly maintained. Regular cleaning, timely repairs, and refinishing help protect the shutter's integrity and appearance throughout its expected lifespan. Consistent upkeep preserves functionality and ensures that shutters continue to provide protection and enhance the home's curb appeal over the long term.
