"The cracked pipe ended up being between the first and second floor where drain pipes from the upstairs bathrooms came together in a Y-joint. The house is 45 years old and these old plastic pipes eventually crack from flexing, etc. which is exactly what had happened. Fred had to cut 10 inch wide strips in the drywall in the kitchen and bathrooms walls and ceilings to get at the area to replace the leak. He added some rubber sleeves to the new Y-joints to allow for some flexing of the house so this would not happen in the future. When all was done, the repair was $2300 and I had to hire a drywall contractor for another $500 to fix the drywall, but Fred was upfront about the price, the extent of the damage that would have to be done for the repair, and the need to fix the drywall after he left. While it really stinks to have to cough up almost $3K to for a leaking pipe, that's the cost of owning a home build in the 1970's with cheap materials and I was very impressed with the work done by Fred and his same day responsiveness. At least the leak was noticed right away so we did not have any water or mold damage to deal with."

"Markool was super professional, kind, and skillful. A few things really stood out. 1) He did a furnace flue piper install that he could have charged us much more for if he had wanted to take advantage of us - but he was honest and we paid less than we feared. He also went the extra mile helping my wife and I through a warranty claim with the furnace company so that we did not have to pay extra part costs. It was an unexpected need, but he was prepared with the part and worked with the manufacturer to get us covered. He was even able to better a previous repair. 2) On a home humidifier install, he made himself available on short notice, took time to answer our questions, and then showed us how to maintain the equipment ourselves so we wouldn't need to shelve out more for additional contracting work - even from him. Grateful!"

"The contractor did a quick but thorough job repairing each electrical outlet and provided advice on how to maintain them properly. The ring doorbell installation was quick and neat. The contractor wore a face mask at all times and we had a completely contact-less visit (including the bill payment - we were able to "sign" via our own devices). This company was a pleasure to work with."

"Everything went extremely well. We wanted to finally install central air to our older home, so we called around and got several estimates. The salesperson Tom Kelly, that came out was very patient and took the time to answer all of my questions and explained several options. After the estimates were done, we decided to go with Jimmy Gusky based on the reviews and the presentation Tom had given. The estimates from all the companies were somewhat all around the same price, And we didn’t want to go with the cheapest estimate. Initially we were only looking to have central air added onto the furnace, but on installation day, one of the installers brought to my attention that there were small cracks in the heat exchangers of the 20 yr old furnace. Based on the potential of the furnace leaking carbon monoxide into the house, it was decided to just replace the furnace and get a new HVAC unit. The two men that did the installation were very experienced and knowledgeable. The new system looks and works great. I supplied my own Nest thermostat and they installed that as well. Kudos to the two installers who definitely knew what they were doing and took pride in their work. Overall a very good experience and I would definitely recommend them"

"Joseph Plumbing and Drain replaced our aging (21 year old) Rheem water heater with an AO Smith Proline 50 gal model. Kap, the owner of the firm, came out to give us an on-site estimate and a detailed explanation of the work to be performed. He showed up at 9:00 am two days later to do exactly what he had promised. Of the six different proposals that we reviewed, Joseph Plumbing and Drain came out on top. They were neither the lowest nor the highest bid, but in our view, the best bid. We found Kap’s price reasonable, his knowledge comprehensive and his work thoroughly professional. We felt we got a quality water heater and expert installation at a fair price."

"Same Day Service-Wow! Well, to my surprise, I found a leak under my hot water heater late Saturday evening, 11/28. In a panic, I called three contractors: the first contractor gave me an appointment for Tuesday, 12/1; I’m still waiting to hear from the second contractor; the third contractor sent me an email with instructions to attach pictures of pipes, hot water heater, the surrounding area where the pipes exit, and label specs. All of this for a free estimate! I slept on it and decided to keep searching because I wanted “instant gratification-job done”! Sunday morning, 11/29, I found “Day and Night Plumber, LLC” 8:20a. The receptionist gave me an appointment for 11a. The technician, Mr. Lal Zaua, was on time with his mask and gloves! He introduced himself, and we exchanged greetings, then went to the basement. He diagnosed the problem. He explained the types of water heaters and gave me pricing, which included a discount. I asked him if he could do it today? He responded yes and “went to work”! To cut down on foot traffic and less contact [because of COVID-19], he always used the back door. When completed, he tested the water, explained the temp controls, and where to turn the water off in case of an emergency. Everything was complete, and he departed at 3p. I am perfectly satisfied! Mr. Lal Zaua was responsive to my needs, treated me and my home with respect, and made sure that I understood everything before he started the job. Thank you so much!"
