"Orlando and his crew, Jonathon and Brian, went above and beyond. I’m so impressed with the work they did, their expertise, and their ingenuity. They removed and replaced our sewer line under the house, and also updated our plumbing, going beyond what was originally planned because they identified issues from work done by another professional plumbing company in recent years prior. That alone will save us a huge headache and significant costs down the road. They rerouted our gas line so it could be neatly tucked away in the walls. They noticed the AC floor unit we were using in our room and came up with the idea to reroute things to give us dual AC line access since we already had our walls open. This means we’ll be able to get rid of the window unit entirely. Their expertise is unmatched. You can trust the work they do is done right. I’m incredibly impressed. I will be recommending Longhorn to everyone I know. I can’t thank them enough."

"They booked almost 30 days out for a fireplace repair. Showed up promptly on scheduled appt time and day. Tech discussed the issue, options and potential future problems. Removed a star due to a $279 service and trip fee while the repair was ~$190."

"I am extremely pleased with L&R Services and I highly recommend them. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I had a small gas leak and Leroy fit me in his busy schedule to help. He was extremely considerate of our house and was very thorough. I made another appointment to have him come back to clean and fix our fireplaces. Again, he was super helpful and considerate of our home, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the work. Leroy was very responsive, knowledge, and extremely professional, and it’s clear that he takes pride in his work. I couldn’t ask for more in someone working on my home. I will definitely use L&R again and I highly recommend them."

"This company is ripping people off and ripped off my 95 year old mother. Her a/c quit and to come out it would be an xtra $50 (total $109) if she wanted them now or $50 less if she could wait 2 days...Really?? Then, they replaced a $30 capacitor and charged her almost $600. I called my a/c company and it would be $149 total. Unreal"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Georgetown, CO

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
