The stripping projects were done in a complete manner, the distressing of the coffee table nicely matched a desired "look" based upon pictures we provided, and the "worm wood" coffee table involved a sub that Ken recommended for some needed professional saw cuts. "I was recently seeking a contractor on Angi for an urgent interior paint project at my home with quick turnaround time. This bedroom paint project included wall paint (2 colors; 1 accent wall), wall baseboard trim repair + paint, door trim repair + paint, door paint, and a plumbing panel replacement + paint. When I posted the request on Angi, Eugene from Honeycomb Construction called me within a minute after posting (Wow!). I explained my situation (baby on the way/arriving in weeks, nesting) and project details, and Eugene stopped by the same day to get a good look at room needing paint + repairs. Eugene was able to meet my familyâ s needs to get this room ready within one week. Although the estimated job timeline slid out by one day due to factors out of Eugeneâ s control (cold room on the basement floor, so paint takes longer to dry between coats), he did an excellent job with all the promised work: the paints of coat were even and full, the lines between the two colors of paint were crisp and clean, and the baseboard trim was looking sharp! Eugene does great work, heâ s really responsive and communicative throughout the process, heâ s really professional, and he is very kind. "Job did not go well. The two guys were very courteous, but not experience with house siding. The chimney was clad in same siding as house horizontal 6 inch cedar. They didnt put the new siding on level or even uniform spacing. Left gaps in the structure that would have caused water damage. The owner refunded part of our money.

"When they manufactured my first cover they got it wrong, but when I called them about it, they quickly reacted and got me the right one.  They were nice about it, no hassles or anything.   The work they did turned out excellent.  I'd say they do good work; they make a mistake, they fix it. "

"The job was fine. The only thing I did not care for was he charges by the hour and he was using my hand tools the entire time which gave me the impression that he was slowing things down or trying to take his time. That was something I did not particularly care for because I never went back and used him. He was fine except he took time. Timing is what broke his price. He did fine work. I felt like he was not trying to do things in a more integrity-driven way. I would tell a friend or family that he seems to charge a fair price, but then, he takes time and that is how he builds up his rate."

"To begin with, this project was complicated, and I was grateful that H. was willing to work with us.  I feel that the work that was completed was well done and done correctly.  We paid nearly double of the original estimate.  Had we known it was going to cost so much, we may have made different decisions. But there were serious complications that could not have been expected or planned for.  H. did a great job of leading us through the process and trying to make us feel comfortable with the decisions that we were making.  There were a few hiccups with some of the subcontractors and the time of year.  I wish that the project could have started on time--instead of so late in the year, and I would ask for different subcontract concrete workers in the future as they were unprofessional and made our neighbors uncomfortable.  They poured a crooked retaining wall--setting our project back--and I have been less then impressed with how the concrete sealing looks in our carport.  H. was aware of this and did his best to bring them up to standard.  However, the other subcontractors working with H. and his team were very professional and courteous.  The electricians were prompt and efficient, and H. employees were hardworking.  I enjoyed having them in my home.  One of the windows was left unwrapped--mostly due to the fact that there was a lot going on in this project and it just got overlooked.  H. eventually had someone come out and finish the details at no extra cost to us.
