"Saffer came out to determine the source of the leak and give me an estimate for the work. I think it was the owner who came out and he was on time and seemed very knowledgeable. He said he couldn't determine the source of the leak during his initial observations, but before recommending opening the wall, he recommended not using my kitchen sink for a few days to see if it was the wastepipe that was leaking. I appreciated that he tried to save me the hassle and expense of opening up the wall. They ended up having to come out a second time to open up the wall and determined that it was in fact the wastepipe that was leaking. I ended up going with an independent plumber to repair the wastepipe because Saffers price seemed kind of high but i was very happy with their diagnosis and think they would have done a good job. The price for the work was just outside my budget."

"John is a good man, with experience to prove it. We have hired him twice now, to sort out a flooded basement (care of the City of Baltimore & their contractor, Spiniello), and then to retrofit all the horizontal pipes in our row home. Not only did he and his team solve our issues, but they made it look good. For a 120 year old row home, you can imagine the plumbing has been subject to a number of revisions, so it was a real pleasure to see them cut it all out (pipes corroded down to a pin hole), and replace every water bearing line with a singular, clear & straightforward system of logically placed cut-off valves, t-joints and what-have-you. <br /> Because we had already had him out to solve a 1400 dollar flood problem the city blamed us for (and which later turned out to be their fault but they are not willing to pay for), he offered us this super low rate to get all the rest* upgraded (*all the main branches had been upgraded already, namely the verticals to the second floor). Johns original quote was for 1250 to do all the horizontals, so since i had him there i asked if he could run gas to our stove. "Glenoak came out to reinstall a toilet that had been leaking .  While there, they noticed a leak from the pressure tank, which needed to be replaced.  They went out for the part w/o charging us for that time or travel.  Unfortunately, the replacement part didn?t work, and ultimately they had to replace the entire toilet.  They fixed a small gas pipe leak near our furnace while there, too. <br /> <br />Very professional, punctual, and competent. <br />"

"James was very responsive and we worked out a date for him to come to the house.  He showed up on time and got to work.  He decided to start with the gas water heater in the basement (and gave me a recommendation should it break down) and flushed the water out.  He then checked the water pressure to my clothes washer and the laundry sink I had installed previously. He also checked the visible pipes and water main in the basement (and gave me an estimate on replacement).  Then he checked that the toilet was working fine and no leaks were visible anywhere.  All-in-all he was very honest and professional in his assessment of my home's plumbing.  Very good info to have."
