"Contacted 911 Garage Door Repair Pros on Friday at Noon & Michael came to analyze our situation in a couple of hours. No pressure to replace our garage door ...... but, he pointed out that, even tho he could repair the dented panel that we called about, our 18-year old doors had rusted springs, plastic rollers, no support strut & worn cables. We decided to replace both doors. Antonio came the following Monday & did an excellent job installing the new doors. We were concerned that the new panels would not match our outside trim but, were pleasantly surprised that they were identical (color & texture).....no painting needed. Very pleased with the new, safer doors.....and, with 911 Garage Door Repair Pros. With the newer nylon rollers, much quieter!"

"Technician showed up but did not have a new garage door opener to install. He was supposed to come the next day. When he did not show up I called and found out he had a medical issue. Someone came two days later and did a good job installing a high-end Chamberlain garage door opener."

"Cord and Jake did an excellent job removing our old 16' wooden garage, installing new tracks, springs, our new steel garage door and hooking it up to our existing door opener. They completed the task in less than 2 hours. We were very pleased with their workmanship and are very happy with our new door"

"We had a terrific experience with Stars and Stripes. One of the springs on our garage door broke on Sunday, 11/22/09. After reading the reviews on Angie's List, we called Monday to book an appointment. The very personable gentleman who answered the phone let us know who would be coming and what their vehicle looked like. Jerry came the next day, called before he came and arrived exactly on time. He was friendly, very thorough and very knowledgeable. After looking at our door and its broken spring, he said that he thought he had the correct replacement springs on his truck and that we wouldn't have to replace the door. He did have the parts on his truck and was able to replace both springs, install safety cables to contain the springs if they ever break, and do routine maintenance on the door opener in just over an hour. Our door works better than it has in the 13 years that we've owned the house! We'll definitely call Stars and Stripes again for any garage door needs and won't hesitate to recommend them to friends."

FAQs for garage door installation and replacement projects in Granbury, TX

Yes, you can replace just one panel if your door is sectional and the damaged panel is available. Most modern residential garage doors have four to six horizontal panels that can be individually replaced. However, finding an exact match becomes challenging for older doors or discontinued styles. For doors over 15 to 20 years old or with multiple damaged panels, a complete door replacement might be more practical and visually consistent.

Minor dents or cosmetic damage can often be repaired without replacing the entire panel, potentially saving you money. However, if the damage affects the door's operation, security, or structural integrity, replacement is often a better investment.

For extensive damage to multiple panels or older doors where matching is difficult, full door replacement might be more economical in the long run than multiple individual panel replacements.

Your garage door panel might be repairable if the damage is superficial and doesn't affect functionality. Small dents in aluminum panels, minor scratches, or cosmetic issues often don't require full replacement. However, replacement is often necessary if the panel is warped, has large holes, shows extensive rust, or affects how the door operates. A professional garage door technician can evaluate the damage and recommend whether repair or replacement offers the best value and durability.
