"They were the best! Quick and efficient. They were able to locate three leaks in the pool and repaired them on the spot. It has been several weeks now and I only have the normal evaporation. Prior to the fix, I was losing about 5 inches in three days. I would recommend them to anyone."

"OK. 1. Arrived later then scheduled time. He Did text he was in route. Arrived 45 min. later then scheduled time. 2. Did a Great job on patio, however, did not pay attention to offshoots of debris where I had to go out and wash down window areas after he left. His cords apparently wrapped around my pool vacuum hose, (pulled vac. out of pool ) and when I asked him, while there ,to put hose back, he apparently did not realize I was talking about pool vac.,so when I went back to area noticed pool vacuum out of pool and disconnected from flipper of vacuum and vacuum itself. Miscommunication. I called immediately and asked him to come back, which he did. The vacuum was totally separated from the flipper part of my vacuum. He was able to fish out the flipper from pool bottom.Hopefully my pool man will be able to re-assemble. Bottom line. He gets job done. Pavers on pool decking look good. Rushes to get job done. His co-worker very good."

"Rico did an extraordinary job. He was meticulous and careful with plants around the pool. It hasn't looked this good for a while. I was very pleased. I will definitely use this company again and have already decided to book them to paint my house in the near future. They treat the job as if it was their own home. I would highly recommend them."

"To me Aurora Air is number one, they gave me a quote a date and time and also helped with the finance of the project and stuck to this no changes or delays. Aurora sent 2 techs, Edwin and Jean and they were very professional, they made sure everything was working and explained everything they had done to me and cleaned up before they had me sign off on the project. My neighbor was having problems with his air-condition and was calling around for service and was getting the run around, I told him to call Aurora Air and they took care of his problem right away. His unit was the same as mine, 15 years old, he was so satisfied with the service from Aurora Air that he had the old unit replaced and is very happy and thanks me every time he sees me. It took this long to post my review because my PC hard drive died, had to wait until repaired."

"I had to add water to my in ground swimming pool daily and I knew there was a leak somewhere. I called BRN Services in Apopka, FL, who was referred to me by Blue Horizon Pools.  Billy Nunn, owner of BRN Services, returned my call and agreed to come out the first of the week since it was near the weekend. I also kept close tabs on the water level and the pool still was leaking water--still about 1 inch daily.  Billy and wife came out this morning and he spent about 1 1/2 hours pressure testing and dye testing all the pipes, outlets, skimmer, then he donned a wet suit and dove down and tested the main drain. Everything tested fine except there was a broken skimmer which needs to be replaced. He could not get the cover off the underwater pool light and offered to come back when Blue Horizons is here to replace the broken skimmer. He is going to ask them to get the light cover off so that he can test that too, to see if there is a second leak.  He gives a 60 day warranty on his work. He is very thorough and it is good to know Billy  can find the problem in a short time and Blue Horizons Pool Co. can fix it.  This has been a very upsetting experience but it is good to know Billy Nunn and wife are around to find that leak in a short time so that it can be repaired! I highly recommend this company. Great people to have work for you.

FAQs for swimming pool heaters installation and replacement projects in Grand Island, FL

Yes, you can add a heater to an existing pool. A pro can retrofit a heater to nearly any in-ground or above-ground pool. Adding a heater allows you to start the swim season earlier, finish it later, and maintain a steady water temperature in between. Many owners schedule the job during a larger pool upgrade, but it also works as a standalone project. Professional installation ties the new unit into the existing pump and plumbing for safe, efficient operation.

Most owners switch the heater on a day or two before they plan to swim, then shut it down afterward. Reaching the target temperature can take 24 to 72 hours, depending on pool size and outdoor conditions. Using a cover while the heater is off helps hold the heat and keeps energy costs in check.

Pool heaters can freeze if left exposed to extreme conditions. Freezing can damage internal heater components, potentially leading to costly pool repairs. Cycling water, covering the heater, and regular maintenance help prevent freezing. Sealing or winterizing your heater also protects it during the season—this involves draining water from the heater and its components.

Pool heaters operate with lifespans spanning from seven to 30 years. Gas and propane models last seven to 12 years, while electric and solar heaters perform efficiently for up to 30 years. Consistent professional maintenance and routine inspections extend the heater’s life and improve its performance, ensuring a safe and reliable heating system for your pool.

Before hiring a pool heater installation contractor, conduct thorough research by reviewing online feedback and gathering recommendations from trusted sources. Contact multiple professionals to discuss pricing, request references, and understand the complete installation process. This careful evaluation ensures you select a qualified contractor who delivers high-quality service and a successful installation.
