"These guys are awesome, hands down. They came to my house quickly and did a full inspection and quote the same day. Started work two weeks later and rebuilt both of my crumbling chimneys beautifully. Nelson, Kevin, Segundo, and Carlos - you are all excellent!"

"Horrible. And they will dispute this saying they never did the work. My business would have been open 4 months sooner if it wasn't for these guys. Sent a meth dealer to do the plumbing and was dealing out of the back of the truck. The other guy only showed up one day a week, got minimal done, got high on the job site, and passed out. You'll end up billed for the hours. All on camera. Moved the toilet to right in front of the door so you couldn't use the toilet and close the door. Cost me $7000 to move it back because of the shoddy work. Has no understanding of things that can actually be done. It's going to cost me at least another $10,000 to finish the simple work they refused to. So many leaks also had to be repaired by someone else, totaling $2500 so far. Found chunks of concrete on top of my refridgerator, repairs coming to $3652. They will also not show up for the sppointed times when the plumbing inspector is going to show up, which is going to delay everything."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Granville, MA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
