After testing the pressure in serval taps, he asked for access in our space under the house. While there, he did a quick inspection of the water heater and pipe hangers. He determined the cause was the water pressure valve. As he had the part, it was installed. Problem solved."

"The guy spent 1 hr not really knowing what to do because he could not find the smell.  At the time he had arrived there was no smell so he did not know what to do about the problem.  I had ran water in my tub drain before he got there so I think, well I know now that running water and keeping water in my pea traps keeps the odor at bay.  I dont use that shower so the water had dried out of the trap causing the smell.  Well I had fixed my own problem not knowing that I had.  I was not told of the service charge to come out and look would be $110.00.  So when he was leaving he told me what i was being charged so I was shocked that for him to have done nothing that I was charged $110, so he gave me a break and only charged me $75.  I was still not happy to have to pay that for having nothing done.  You would think for a plumber to have had more knowledge and to have ask me if I use the tub and to have known to tell me that you have to keep water in the pea traps to keep that rotten egg smell from coming in.  I didn't know that the water in the pea traps dried out.  I had called the company and complained that I was not happy and the lady told me she would check things out and get back to me and she never did.  That to me was not good customer service.

There was no extra charge for Saturday, he just stated he wants to keep his customers happy. Customer service extraordinaire! Came promptly at appointed time, adjusted water pressure regulators. Stated they weren't the highest quality, but no need to change out as they were relatively new. Gave quote for laundry tub and explained how lines were connected in crawlspace. Excellent customer service, no "trip charge", even though had an assistant, did not charge me extra than the hourly rate, knowledgeable, did not try to up sell me and will definitely use in future and refer to others."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
