"Exceptional Service from JW Home Improvement – A Review Worth Writing Let me start by saying I hate writing reviews, but after the service I just received, I felt absolutely compelled to share my experience. A few days ago, that dreaded moment happened. Our garbage disposal finally gave out. With four daughters, a wife, plenty of spoons, and after years of loyal service, it had officially met its match. I had tried finding quality and trustworthy people and did what anyone would do—asked family and friends. That’s when I remembered JW Home Improvement doing my parents’ deck. They had nothing but great things to say about the experience, so I gave JW a call. After a few frustrating calls with unreliable handymen, I called JW Home Improvement and spoke with James Hinton, who promptly scheduled Jesse and Josh to come assess the situation. Thank God I did. Jesse Wertjes and Josh Metz came out, assessed the situation, and gave me three different options at varying price points. That level of transparency and choice immediately built my trust. With a full family in the house, I opted for the Cadillac of disposals, one that can apparently grind chicken bones, which feels like a necessary feature at this point. From there, Angela Redd, the project coordinator, called to schedule the installation. When our appointment day arrived, so did a snowstorm. Impressively, Angela let me know the tech was still willing to make the call. I chose to reschedule because I didn’t want anyone driving in those conditions, but the dedication spoke volumes. On the rescheduled day, Weldon Harris, the office manager, personally called me in the morning to update me that the technician, Fernando, was running a little behind due to another job taking longer. I didn’t mind at all because the communication was spot on, which to me is one of the most important aspects of good service. When Fernando arrived, he introduced himself and immediately got to work. Everything was smooth until we realized the manufacturer had provided the wrong power cord. Instead of cutting corners, Fernando ran out to Home Depot to get a heavier-duty replacement. That kind of attention to detail blew me away. And the service didn’t stop there. Janice Chuck in billing made the payment process seamless, taking care of everything right away. Later, Luis Molina even followed up to ensure the entire process had gone smoothly and asked if I’d be willing to leave a review. Absolutely. This was my first time using JW Home Improvement, but it definitely won’t be my last. I’m already scheduling an estimate with them for a bathroom remodel and kitchen cabinet revamp. If this is how well they handle a garbage disposal install, I can only imagine how smooth my remodels will go. JW Home Improvement isn’t the cheapest company I spoke to, and I didn’t pick the cheapest option, but I got exactly what I paid for. Top-tier service, communication, and quality workmanship. "Bobby has done a number of projects over the years, including installing new faucets and recessed lighting, replacing a new backsplash (tile), light fixtures (indoor and out), painting, replacing door knobs, and the like. He even installed our tetherball for the kids. He is always friendly and responsive. He is our go-to handyman for almost everything!"

"I needed all the window shutters replaced on my 3-story townhouse. The folks from Tytah came to the house, asked questions, and provided me with several options for completing the job. They provided a detailed estimate, and when I asked for changes in the work to align with my budget, Tytah quickly provided an updated estimate. The work was delayed several times because of the weather, but their communication was professional and timely."

"He was very nice and polite. He was prepared and had thought through our problems with the pictures sent. I think our gate problems have been resolved. I have asked to come back to fix a receptacle and replace place batteries in one of my cameras. "

"Overall, the painters did most of what I wanted, I'm just not sure I got $299 worth of professional work done.  So the deal was $299 for 8 hours of painting (or 4 hours with 2 painters).  During the phone contact, I said I only needed trim painting done and it would be all one color.  When he arrived, I showed him the areas to be painted (crown and chair molding in the dining room) and base molding in all the other areas.  I also asked that the crown molding in the kitchen be painted.  He said that the kitchen work would probably go over the time limit.  He also said since I was using white paint to go over the brown paint, it might need two coats. <br /> The began to work (there was just a few pieces of furniture to move).  At the two hour mark, they were finished with the dining room.  I was really surprised that two professional painters took that long to do one room but I thought if they were applying two coats it might take longer.  I was worried if they could complete the rest of the work.  <br /> They did finish in the 4 hours.  However, when I looked over the work, I noticed that only one coat of paint was applied (I could see some of the brown coming through).  He said that he had told me earlier that a second coat might be needed.  So, what took so long in the dining room if they didn't apply a second coat? <br /> Most of the furniture was put back where it was.  There was no mess. There was no bleed over from trim to wall or floor.  They were very respectful.  All this was very important to me. <br /> WouId I use again?  I had to pick yes or no -- my choice is "don't know."  There were some very good points, but some things disappointed me. <br />"

"We had two bathropm fan replacements and found Jose through Amazon installation. Both of our existing fans were so old that the work involved to replace them was significantly more work than inspected. Jose and his team stayed to do all the work that day, even though the initial appointment was only for an hour. They bought needed materials including paint to match the old color on the ceiling where they had to repair Sheetrock.. They were very professional and the price was extremely reasonable. Will definitely work with them again in the future!"

"Our A/C died in late May, and we wanted to get a new heat pump installed before the summer temperatures arrived. We got estimates from four different companies and settled on BMC/Clower because of a balance of price, quality and service contract. Two weeks after we selected them, our new Lennox heat pump was installed. It took about a day and a half and worked well from the start. Love the thermostat...certainly beats the Nest. They returned a couple of months later to install the heating interface. The installers were uniformly polite and neat the whole time."
