"Be prepared: You don't just pay for the work done on your house. You start paying 105.00/hour from the minute your plumber is dispatched - no matter where he is coming from, yes, no matter where he is - in my case it was 20 minutes and I was told (by the woman who dispatches) that I was 'lucky' he was in the area. Then, before anyone starts working on your problem, there is a one time 20 dollar fee for equipment - huh, I'm paying for the plumber's equipment? And then, in my case, I had to pay an extra 30 minutes while we waited for a friend of the plumber's to come to help him carry the equipment out of my backyard. When I called to question having to pay for the 30 minutes of extra time, I was lectured by a condescending woman about why all these additional fees were required - from HER point of view. Yes, to her, it made perfect sense that I was charged yet another 50+ dollars for 'waiting' for someone to come and carry equipment from my back yard. Even though Joe was great (I'd hire him again), I will not return to A & R Plumbing - 2 of my neighbors saw A & R's truck and asked about my experience and I had to tell the same. At the end of the day, I was charged 215.00 for 45 mins of labor - watch out for those hidden fees."

"Bellows technicians -- Jeremy and Sol -- recently came to my house to clean out the vent from my electric dryer thru the roof. I had only bought the house recently and did not know how long it had been since the vent was cleaned. Jeremy and Sol attacked the problem from both the bottom (at the vent entrance in the laundry room) to the top (working down from the roof). They found that it was completely blocked with lint, and removed buckets of lint from the pipe. Without their cleanout, I would have been facing a danger of fire. Not only am I totally satisfied with the high quality of the job that Jeremy and Sol performed, and the care with which they performed that work, I am very impressed by the care they took to keep me in the loop during their work. They were immensely respectful of me and my house, and were careful to explain what they were doing at each step and why. They also showed me the consequences at each step, including the state of the vent before cleaning and the amount of lint removed from both the top of the pipe and the bottom. I found all this very reassuring. The cost of the job was a flat rate of $199. I am not sure if this is high or low, compared to other companies, but I have learned -- in life -- that if you want quality then you have to pay for it. So, I am happy with the price. I know from prior experience with this company that they stand behind their work 100%, which is something that I value. Finally, I would say that both Jeremy and Sol were just fine and decent guys -- folk that I was pleased to invite into my home and whom I felt I could trust to do their work promptly and well. I would have them -- and Bellows Plumbing -- back into my home at any time. This is a company that knows its job, employs good competent folk and wants to deliver a quality service. Exactly what the customer needs!!! Thank you, Bellows, I will certainly call on you again, if and when I have my next problem with plumbing and the like. I recommend Bellows Plumbing very highly indeed."

"I highly recommend Marina Plumbing and Heating. They make real appointments (not 4-hour windows) and show up on time. They are knowledgeable, take the time to understand the issues, and present and discuss a range of options with varying price-points, and results. I received estimates from 5 different companies before selecting one to replace our furnace and install new air filtration. The estimate from Marina Plumbing and Heating was very competitive. Although they were not the cheapest, they were much more professional and easy to work with than the cheaper bids. Marina Pand H also included the cost of required building permits in the estimate, which the cheaper estimates were not including. This is the second project I've had this company work on and in both cases I have been very happy with the results. <br />"

"I called on Sunday 17th of Feb 2012 and left word that I was concerned about noises from my water heater. As it was a holiday weekend, I did not expect to hear back right away but was called by Oscar early Monday morning. He scheduled a visit and gave me several options. I chose the most "expensive" just to start with a new water heater and to be better sure that any future issues that arise would likely be warranty covered and to make sure I started a proper water heater maintenance schedule. The install of the new water heater was scheduled for that Friday at 9:30. The crew arrived 1 1/2 hours EARLY! That is commendable considering the other work OCG had going on at the same time. While it was a bit inconvenient to have them start early, the crew was professional and finished quickly - installing the new water heater, re-connecting auxiliary systems, and insuring all new piping was in place. The next surprise was that I was not expected to pay anything until the bill arrived in the mail...no downpayment or payment at time of work completion. A great surprise! I was able to monitor the work and make sure there were no issues before the bill arrived. While I would have liked a follow-up call from the company (at least to get my full name for the bill)"

"<p>The place is very large, with 5 or 6 bays, all with lifts, and all pretty much all waiting to do repairs on your car. The personnel are friendly, smile when they talk to you, and shake your hand. They really make you feel welcome. Even the boss, "Papa Joe," comes over to meet you and make you feel at home.<br /> <br /> Now I know nothing about cars. But the mechanics at Natale's are geniuses. These guys took my whole differential apart, replaced one of the pinion yokes, and did some other stuff in the differential. Then, when they were through with that, they replaced my old worn-out shock absorbers, and put in these 4 -- beautiful it the only thing I can say -- Bilstein shock absorbers, that made the Corvette ride like it was brand-new. You could have just driven the car off the showroom lot. It was sweet!!!<br /> <br /> They did all that and a whole lot more for under 3 grand. I'd recommend these guys to anyone. For old classic cars, these guys can't be beat.  </p>"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Greenfield, CA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
