Kevin diagnosed the problem immediately as the thermostat, had a replacement in the truck, and completed the installation of the new unit quickly. He showed me how to program the updated version, and everything seemed to be fine - until the next morning. Turned out the replacement was defective. When I called, I was told that they might not be able to get back to me that day, but Kevin interrupted his schedule to come back and put in a new (and working) unit at no charge."

I will also say that I tend to have very high expectations. While I like to give out compliments when they are deserved, I find very few opportunities to do so when hiring different folks for my home improvement needs. "I waited so long to submit this review because I wanted to see if we really were going to save any money. Our summer electric bills have dropped to a third of what they were last year. We may never fully recover the full replacement cost but getting a PECO bill for $175.00 versus $576.00 (August) is great and that is a positive for the enviornment! <br /> I no longerhave all the specs on the old oil burner but with the new system (3 zones vs. 2) we are using 50% less fuel oil. I can't track the savings due to warmer temperatures but the new unit runs a lot less than the old Columbia. <br /> Petro is a class company. Very professional. "Another plumber earlier had told us to order a replacement part (covered by warranty), which arrived; however, couldn't get him to return our call so called Schede to install the replacement part.   They came and quickly realized the replacement part ordered was not the correct one but said problem could be fixed without the replacement..  They fixed it and it has been fine since then.   They are not the least expensive, but the couple of times I have used them they have been reliable, responsive and professional. <br />"
