"It was excellent. The owner of the company is professional, on time, and all around very mannerly. I highly recommend them and use them in the future. Prices are reasonable."

"Technician quoted extremely high price for very simple job and said he would reduce price if he could at end of job.$579.00 for approx. 2 1/2 hrs including approx. $30.00 parts. Went to business location to inquire about labor charge per hour and was refused any info. Was given $65.00 credit on my bill but feel that their business practices are predatory based on what they feel the customer can afford."

"Initially, the water company detected a leak on my plumbing, so I hired a professional to come and check it. When he came, he smelled gas in my house, he then said that he did not feel comfortable coming in, so I opened the windows to let the air out. He checked the stove and said there was no gas regulator on it and it did not have a yellow gas whip line. It's not up to code, not up to standard. I then called him back to fix it and he tried to charge me another $125 service charge. I told him I was not gonna pay him to fix his mistake. We went back in forth and then he's asking me what he needs to make it work. When he agreed to comeback, finally, on Christmas Eve, he was three hours late, no phone call, no nothing. Asked me to be here early, I did that coming out from Myrtle Beach. But when he turned the gas off and turned it back on, it did not like the pilot and it filled my house with gas yet again. And he was just rude as anyone can be. I stand by my statement and I have the texts to back it all up."
FAQs for gas piping projects in Greenwood, SC

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
