"We have had several Sila visits in recent months - all exceptional. VISIT 1: We had old pipes and valves that limited our dishwasher, so we had that replaced. While there, the Sila agent suggested we replace some of the attached lines and managed to streamline our hookups by removing some of the unneeded valves and connections no longer needed. VISIT 2: We similarly had a great visit and instal from David, who did a very beautiful install on our new water heater. He removed the broken unit, improved the connection design, put in improved valves and labelled each with a tag, then tagged other connections through the basement."

"Daigle were quick to reach out to quote me for the work we needed - replace a water heater and arrived early! Very personable, professional. However, pricing was an issue. They were way outside of what other plumbers charge for this service and way outside of what Angi's has listed as average project costs. They did have an opening for next day installation which would have been fantastic but I couldn't justify the additional $2400."

"George and his team were extremely friendly and professional. This is a good group of people. Courteous and thoughtful, they were able to do a complete installation of both systems from scratch in about 6 hours.
The new radon remediation system (Bubble Up) has the added benefit of boosting the fixture pressure in the house to city level or better (60-75psi) as well as completely resolving the pH level of the water.
The cost was slightly lower than the other two quotes we received, partially due to the fact that Absolute offered a "multi-system" discount since two systems were going in at the same time.
If in your service area, I would highly recommend George Doumit of Absolute Water System.

"We hired Todd for an extensive remodel of our home and couldn’t be more thrilled with how nice it turned out, how smooth the process was, and how helpful Todd was along the entire way. The project has been complete for a while, I am just now following up with a long overdue review. Downstairs Todd removed 2 walls including a staircase to create an open living space for us. Where the walls were removed, he installed 3 new support beams per the engineer’s design, and then wrapped them with rustic oak boards to make them look like original beams, and they turned out beautifully. He installed all new trim around the downstairs windows to match the rest of the house. Todd gutted our old kitchen and built an island for us, installing all new cabinets, crown molding, and the appliances. He even custom modified 2 drawers in the island so that we could conceal the electrical outlets behind part of the drawer panel but not lose the entire storage space of the drawer. He did such a great job with the drawer modification they look like they came that way from the factory. The entire kitchen turned out perfect. During the same remodel, we also hired Todd to combine 2 bedrooms into a new master suite. This involved removing walls, installing a beam, and installing new walls for the new master bathroom and closet. While the ceiling was opened up Todd noticed a drip coming from above on a rainy day, and after finding the source, he offered us a very reasonable price to replace a small section of siding to ensure we wouldn’t have any water issues. We are grateful he was so observant and willing to go the extra mile for us by fixing this issue that was not originally in our scope. In the new master bathroom the extensive amount of tile and the new glass shower enclosure that he installed couldn’t have turned out any nicer, all the lines were perfect. He took great care in his tile usage, minimizing waste with his cuts which we appreciated especially on the expensive tile he installed in a decorative strip. Todd was great to work with throughout the entire project and very professional day in and day out. Being such a large project, as it progressed there were several things we realized we wanted to add to the workscope while everything was opened up. Todd was very accommodating and gave us reasonable prices for each addition we threw his way. We appreciated his flexibility very much. Todd also helped us with various design considerations, and had some great ideas that helped us work with the engineer to get the upstairs beams laid out in a way that optimized our new space. He pays close attention to detail and worked hard to ensure we would be happy with the end result of the project. Overall Todd is a real pleasure to work with and we highly recommend him and the quality of his work."

"We had 3 companies bid, chose Don, because he had good reviews, we got a good/truthful feeling from him during the interview and his price was in the middle of the other two quotes. Job started about a week and a half late waiting on the engineering stamp for the new LVL beam. Once started, Don and Eric were prompt each day. Very important is Don will take the time each morning to review what he will be doing that day. Things can move fast, so this quick conversation each morning was very important to us. As with any reno, things don't go as planned and we were able to discuss and make changes where necessary. Don is dedicated to a job, so he does not jump around which is important when you have no kitchen. He would pull in up to two other people some days when there was a lot to do - otherwise it was just Don and Eric each day. Don is very tidy, he cleans up better than probably any other contractor. Some details of the work performed... Kitchen gut, take down non-load bearing wall, build support for load bearing wall, remove that wall, install HUGE LVL, install all cabinets, installed new kitchen window, ripped up old flooring, installed new hardwood flooring to match existing, sheetrock walls/ceiling, textured new ceiling to blend in with old. Renovated a half bath + laundry into two separate rooms (1/2 bath alone, laundry alone). We used his plumber who was good. I liked that he used higher quality materials than I expected - ball valves rather than gate valves. Plumber installed the toilet, vanity sink, laundry water, drain and gas, kitchen sink, water, dishwasher, stove gas and fridge water. We used our own electrician (a personal friend). Don was OK with this as long as he was licensed (which he was). Whereas Don coordinated with the plumber for everything, I was responsible for coordinating everything with my electrician. This caused extra work on my end, but my electrician was able to do the majority of the work over a weekend to keep things moving. Our electrical work turned into a major project and we ended up doing more than expected and a lot of extra/custom stuff. Special lights, specific placements, switches, future wiring runs, fire/co2 and after all this we even ended up installing a completely new main panel and moving some breakers to a sub panel. We had some overages, about $4k. The original quote did not mention who pays for the fees (permit, stamp) so we thought it was included, which it was not. We also wanted more demo performed (down to the studs) which was not clear in the original quote, we added some extra work such as building a closet nook, extra sheet rocking and additional plumbing. In hindsight I would have liked more detail in the quote for my own understanding of the work, the quote is more of a bullet list, but Don was upfront and honest with any overages and changes and we worked through any extra charges or work additions without problem. The $25,500 includes the plumbing, but none of the electrical. Overall, we love our new renovation (kitchen/bath/laundry/floors/window). We would hire Don again and have recommended him to friends looking to do renovations."

"The second time I have used Pacific Stone and Tile in lass than a year and my experience this time was just as fantastic as the first time. very reasonable price and the final product looks better than we had visioned. Sal came out and explained all issues and keep me in the loop with updates as our quartz was backordered. The crew was meticulous with their measurements, making sure no gaps were showing due to sloping floors or crooked walls. They were very thorough with the install. You can tell immediately the pride Sal and his crew take in their work. The installers were as friendly as the owner, they kept the area clean and and were very considerate of me and my family. I plan on using Pacific Stone and Tile every time I need countertops."

FAQs for water main install, replace or repair projects in Hampstead, NH

If you notice puddles or standing water in your yard, a sudden drop in water pressure, cracks forming in your foundation, frequent clogs in your plumbing fixtures, or water that looks or smells unusual, you might have a leak in your main water line. These signs mean it's time to call a professional to evaluate the issue and prevent further damage.

A professional water main inspection is a comprehensive evaluation performed by a licensed plumber who checks every section of your plumbing system. The inspection costs $165 and uses advanced diagnostic techniques to identify hidden leaks or wear. This service clarifies the exact condition of your water main, enabling precise repairs that prevent future damage and ensure the overall health of your plumbing system.

Protect your water main by scheduling a cleaning and inspection every two to five years. The average cost of a sewer line cleaning is $400. It’s also important to never dig in your yard without first calling the dig line (811) to ensure you don't accidentally hit the water or sewer lines. Watch for soil erosion, low water pressure, or wet spots in your yard, and take immediate action if you suspect a leak. Remember, the longer you leave it, the worse the problem gets and the more costly it is to fix.

When properly maintained, your water main is engineered to remain functional for 50 years or longer. A durable water service in excellent condition should consistently perform without major issues for half a century. In contrast, metal pipes exposed to acidic soil corrode faster, whereas modern plastic pipes resist corrosion and function for decades beyond metal alternatives. Regular maintenance and inspections are essential for confirming your system’s longevity.

No, homeowners insurance does not cover the cost to repair a water main. Insurers fund only sudden, unforeseen events like a burst pipe and exclude gradual issues or normal wear and tear. Damage resulting from leaks, such as mold remediation or property claims, is not covered. It is essential to contact your insurance provider immediately to confirm your policy’s details and any potential adjustments needed.
