"In October 2020, I had a gas leak and I did not even know it until I was doing annual maintenance. The first company that came out made me believe that it could not be repaired and did nothing to mitigate the issue. I thought I would have to figure out where I was going find about $10 to $20 K to replace my boilers. I could not afford that. I called Sync Mechanical for a second look. They gave me an honest diagnosis of the issue and told me where the gas leak was as well. They told me that it is repairable and laid out what my options if I wanted to do repairs or replace it and the cost as well. They talked to me about their financing options at the time. I really had options. This gave me peace of mind because the gas leak was much smaller than I was made to believe before, but Sync Mechanical took the leak seriously. They identified other parts of my boilers that needed to be replaced to avoid pipes bursting such as my expansion tanks and pressure relief valves. I agreed to get the repairs made. Sync Mechanical ordered the parts, kept me updated on the arrival time, and called me when they arrived so I can schedule a time. Sync Mechanical was also honest about their schedule when also responding to emergency calls of no hot water. I appreciated that because I was never left with false expectations. They were able to fit me into schedule even when it was very busy. It felt great going with a local professional company that were honest at every step of the way and large enough to handle multiple jobs in the Hudson Valley. I did not feel overlooked. I have been stood up by contractors twice before so it was really important to me that my time was not being wasted. The repairs were done within a day and all the old materials were disposed of by Sync Mechanical. I also received my invoice in the mail which made it easy for doing my taxes. Sync Mechanical helped me make an informed decision and also learn more about how my boilers work. I never felt like they were condescending and I appreciated their respect for family as well."

"After an extensive process of having different contractors evaluate my home & submit their estimates for the installation of a Bosch tankless boiler/water heater combination unit as well as new baseboard heating, I selected AStar Heating & Cooling. Their staff impressed me from start to finish. Initially, I met Aaron who provided a thorough explanation of how the work would be done, offered other options that I did not know of or considered at the time, and provided a fair estimate that was similar to most of the other contractors. Next, when the time came for the projects to be completed, the technicians, Robert & Trevor, were on point. They always arrived in a timely manner & started working right away. They worked efficiently & quickly to get the projects done in the time frame promised. However, they did not rush, they took pride in their work & made every effort to make sure the work was completed neatly & done properly, as they thoroughly tested out the systems to make sure their were no issues/problems in their setup & performance. They also thoroughly answered my questions about the installation of the new systems as they went about their work. At the end of each workday, they made sure to clean up the job site & were very mindful in not dirtying my new floors by wearing plastic booties whenever they had to walk over them. The Bosch tankless water heater/boiler combination unit has been working without a hitch. I barely notice the difference in the time lag of receiving hot water in comparison to the old 40 gallon tank water heater I previously used. Overall, I highly recommend AStar Heating & Cooling. "I called in the late morning and the friendly office person took down all my information and gave me a window of time between 2-4 PM. She later called and said that the serviceman got done early with his morning job and would like to know if he can come earlier. The repairman, Andrew, was professional and knowledgeable. He opened the heating system access doors and found an error code. He promptly fixed the issue and also cleaned another part, which he said could give problems in the future. He took the time to explain why the problem occurred and what he did to fix it. He also took down the make/model of the heating system in case it needs more work in the future. Since there were not parts required, I was only charged the minimum service fee. The heat is working solidly now."

"Called late morning to schedule repair when boiler stopped working, and they were able to get someone out in just a couple of hours. Greg K. was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what the issue was and what was needed for the repair. He also took the time to discuss replacement options for our current heating and cooling system and hot water system. He even set up the appointments for an electrician to come out to quote some work on our house and for his coworker Tim to come out to discuss our heating options.
