When the office called to let us know what needed to be done, he did a great job explaining not only what needed to be done but <strong> why</strong> repairs needed to be done.repairs. My husband is mechnically inclined but not a car guy and he was really impressed with the way Simon's explained repairs. Clear without being condescending. <br /> My favorite Simon's story - I had some holes in my heat shield on my muffler. They came out and said the replacement was pricey and offered to do a much less expensive repair instead. Another shop had wanted to replace it a year before. Because they saved me money, they have made more from me because I won't take my car anywhere else. <br /> I didn't want to dock them for this, but because they are a smaller, local, independent shop, repairs can take a little longer than a huge chain. I know they work really hard to get their work done in a timely manner; they are just a smaller shop! Simon's is one of the reasons I love living in the Heights. Going to wait until morning, but company called back and said they could come to check situation. Gary let tank drain overnight, came the next morning to install new tank. Neat work. Friendly.
