"Matt was very professional. He found the exact source of our water leak, replaced the flashing on the chimney, rebuilt the top of our chimney and added a strong concrete cap. Matt cleaned up after every day of work and answered all of my questions before and during the job. He did the work about 3 years ago and the leak hasn't returned. I would definitely hire him again ."

"We had a plain ranch home.  We contacted Penn Contractors regarding an addition (found them on Angie's List).   Penn designed a 10 x 26 addition to include: vaulted ceilings, extensive windows, laundry room, and totally new kitchen.  <br /> Penn Contractors are excellent people to work with.  They are extremely considerate, very detail oriented, and are excellent craftsmen. <br /> The entire addition is SPECTACULAR !!! <br /> SO MANY THANKS TO :  Shawn, Jeff, Ron, Tom, Ed, Cody, Zack, Gina, Karen, Bruce (owner), plus all of the subcontractors. <br /> The addition is worth every penny..   WE ARE SO HAPPY.... !"

"Ray Brown Jr. came to my house when he said he would be there.  This was a late day emergency - no water from any faucets.  He troubleshot the situation, found the solution and fixed the problem in a very reasonable amount of time and at a very fair price. <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Hellertown, PA

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
