"Our technician was here within an hour , repaired the pipe that was leaking and even found a second leak by the water heater that I would have never found until a major leak happened. He was very professional and easy to talk with ."

"Our furnace broke down last week, I had 3 estimates with other companies. However, were pleased with the warranty and coverage offered by Four Seasons Heating and Cooling. The installation process truly EXCEEDED my expectations. Both techs arrived on time and respected COVID-19 guidelines- very knowledgeable, courteous, went above and beyond with removing old furnace and installing new one. Previous company that installed our old furnace made multiple errors, but Jermaine (tech) had a great deal of patience throughout the difficult challenges in replacement (moving gas pipe, electrical wiring, vent pipes, etc.). He would keep me up to date on the process throughout the day. You'll definitely be lucky if you're scheduled with this AMAZING tech! After a week with no heat I finally have a very warm house and I'm a super happy customer!"

"I initially thought I needed all my water pipes replaced but Mark and Clint both assured me that my problems didn’t sounds that severe. The plumber Joe was polite and professional and stayed until the job was done even though it took twice as long as expected due to the stubborn conditions. He even looked over all the main water lines and pointed out a few other things that would eventually need replaced to help me prioritize for future projects."

"Nick took my call and arranged for a team of two plumbers to come out that very afternoon. He called around noon to confirm that they would arrive shortly. Mike and Jason were prompt and professional. They problem solved my situation, and as it turned out, I only needed to have my pipe routed. They followed by that using a camera to inspect the length of pipe to make sure there were no breaks and saved that file for future reference. I had great reviews from neighbors about Calumet City Plumbing, and I'm glad I followed their advice. This is a very professional operation, and I'm very happy with the results."

"I called in the morning and had someone there by the afternoon and Daryl was awesome! He was diligent and immediately assessed the problem and never stopped working to take a break even though it was a hard, difficult job. He explained what he was doing the entire time and took care of the issue, which ended up being a lot of roots 70 feet down the line. I was really stressed out about having to find a plumber, as I've never had to call one before, and fortunately the issue wasn't as bad as it could have been and the cost was reasonable for what was done. I would highly recommend them to anyone. My sister recommended them to me after she had to use them several years ago with a similar problem. Thank you!"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Hobart, IN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
