"I had been trying to get my second car inspected after not driving it for most of the past year. First station I went to came up with a laundry list of items needing to be fixed to pass. I am fortunate enough to be able to do most of my own simple repairs, and smart enough to know when someone is trying to get one over on me. I made the legitimate repairs and went to another station for a reinspection. They approved the repairs but came up with new ones the first shop hadn't. Only one was legitimate.
