Unlike previous contractors who find the shortest and easiest way to finish the project without regards to the long term consequences of future maintenance, Matt’s focus is in the long-term efficiency of any installation or project for our satisfaction and enjoyment of the product installed. This is the second time I had him work on a home project and found him being very consistent in his attention to details. The plumbing and electrical project we had was very tricky and complicated since our townhome is more than 50 years old. With many “patchwork” repairs done by previous owners/contractors, adding new wiring was not as straightforward. Yet, Matt and his team were able to save us the cost of adding a subpanel box after they took the time to assess all the existing wiring. Matt not only works to understand the purpose of the job requested but also takes into account the visual aesthetics involved in the project. He has outstanding expertise in planning and preparing for the project such that there is excellence in the completion of the project. He takes the time to evaluate and understand the current condition of the house and explains the process in detail to get to the end-result that is expected upon completion. He was very judicious in informing me of any issues during the project and was well prepared to provide viable options that make the end-result better. I also appreciate his high respect for the homeowner’s property which he makes sure is also practiced by the workers he send to do the job all throughout the process and not just during the time of quote or price negotiation or just at the start of the project when the homeowner is around. "My wife and I talked about a shower remodel for years. Cost was a concern as was if we would be happy with the end product. After speaking with several contractors we decided on HT&A based on Angies List. Towards the end of the build, we had severe issues with grout and a beautiful new shower. Issue was with the product and not the work. I was worried that the company would simply walk away or say we did our best, but thankfully that was not the case. They returned multiple times until we finally achieved the results we were looking for. "I needed to replace the cabinet flooring beneath the kitchen sink due to a leaking disposal. Bernardo and his team responded in a timely manner and offers a very reasonable price. They started the work immediately, even cleaning and disinfecting the area to prevent mold damage. I will certainly be calling Bernardo again for all my carpentry needs."

"Team did not know what they were doing, always confused. Starz overquoted and underperformed. They used nails instead of screws, causing deep holes, missing nails, loose ends, cheap, splintered wood, and deck was 50 inches tall, requested 52. There were various cuts in the wood, wood splitting, a piece of wood loose where they cut the post hole and didn't secure it to the deck. For the pool, they used regular sand, not compaction sand. The bottom of the pool is bumpy. They put the pool coves behind the uprights holding the frame firm. They had to take the pool apart to take out the coves and put back the uprights. The first time they installed the pool, it was 2 inches higher than the deck. They broke down the pool and removed sand on one side to meet up with the deck. The pool is lopsided and water is 6 inches deeper on one side. I had to pay an additional $300 for them to reinstall. The second time they installed the pool, it still did not flush with the deck. I have to redo it all."

Their quote matched our asks and was detailed in sections for each of our asks. Other quotes we received were bundled and we were not able to pair the project down with noticeable savings. Iconic's quote was not bundled and we appreciated the level of detail in their quote. We signed the agreement and the work began within 2 weeks. They were very prompt every day. They did excellent work with high degree of attention to details. Since we were living in the house during the remodel, they did an excellent job keeping the dust inside the construction area with ceiling to floor temporary plastic barriers.
