"It all went very well indeed! Micah Maddox, the Plumb Magic technician, arrived right on time and he serviced the problem right quickly. I was fearful about what this problem (sewer gas odor) was going to cost as I imagined the worst, but it turned out well enough. After working a little Plumb Magic on the drains and opening them up with water pressure, Micah noted there was no trap on my washer. This was something neglected by the guys who installed my furnace a couple years ago. He installed a trap as needed and I am hoping and praying that will do the trick. Micah was knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed each other's company as Micah finished the job. Nothing is guaranted of course, but I'm thinking he diagnosed the problem correctly. We'll see how it goes tonight. I don't smell anything at the moment, but then all the windows are open. That smell was driving me crazy! I think I got off easy considering. I mean when you contract someone to do a job for you, it can get scary. I've had estimates twice now on other jobs when the craft guys will find complications or additional problems which can raise the cost considerably and it feels like a kick in the head. I mean you are so vulnerable at that moment. This is when it becomes so important to have a clear explanation or else. Thankfully, not in this case. Also, Rose Anne, the Plumb Magic contact gal, couldn't have more patient, informative and reassuring over the phone, which is something very much appreciated when you're making that call for help and you're worried . . . "They moved furniture, shampooed living room, dining room hallway, a complete bedroom and the high traffic spots in 2 other bedrooms. In my son's room my grandchild had broken a marker open and there was black permanent marker all over the rug. They got it all out! They tested spots on carpet to see what they were caused from and then explained the different chemicals they were using on different spots to remove them. Also explained that a couple would look good for a while, but would slowly show up again due to being in the pad underneath also. Otherwise I would have been upset to see them come back. <br />"

"Called Maxcare to see if they could clean a 100% Wool rug. He asked me several questions about the rug type, age and if I had tried any other cleaning products. These types of questions helped me to decide to go with them. My main concern besides the pet urine was the potential damage cleaning a Wool rug improperly would do to pattern/design and softness that I has read about online. I agreed to have him clean the rug. He promptly picked up the rug, cleaned and returned within a day. Plastic was laid out and the rug was brushed and all of the tassels straightened with super fan blowing over it. On first sight the rug looked great, felt soft and was slightly damp. So I asked why the fan and received a very educated answer about wool fiber, moisture retention and oriental rug care which I felt the need to google after he left. After more online research about oriental rug care I found all of the things that he said to be true. When he came and picked up the fan he asked if I had any questions/concerns and inspected the rug himself. This suprised me because I was not expecting this kind of follow up. I feel as if I need to share this great experience because they aren't to many services meet and excede my expectations. They really did a fantastic job! This experience for me was outstanding from start to finish."
