"Got a service call deal for $34 and had them scheduled to come out and give an estimate to have a gas line extended to our laundry room for the dryer. The estimate ended up being much higher than we anticipated and we wanted to get a second estimate. We also asked if he could hook up our washer water supply, and he was unable to do so and recommended we re-run the pipes and valves as they were too old. We had another plumber coming out the next day from a previous work order, and asked for the estimate - it was half the price of Hope's, and he was able to attach the water connections with no problem. Felt like Hope plumber was just trying to invent work to get paid for."

"I had a toilet installed by a handyman. I was not satisfied with the results and called Jeff for help in rebalancing it. He did a great job and I was totally satisfied with Jeff's work. I have called on Pipe Dreams before and they are always courteous and respond quickly. Their price is always fair and I would recommend them to anyone.

"Nick gave me a very detailed line item quote and even gave me the option to do some of the manual labor myself. Nick and his team showed up promptly on the day work was scheduled and had everything knocked out in a few hours. They removed a cracked section of clay pipe and tied into it with PVC. I got the exact same job quoted by another company for $3K. After the clean out was replaced they snaked the sewer line. While one tech was cutting the clay pipe, Nick was replacing the drip leg on the water heater. Nick was very thorough in making sure there was not a gas leak after his work. I will be calling Quality Control for all my plumbing, heating, and air needs."

"I am being fair with my rating, but I wouldn?t use them again. I had some dealing with them in the past and I called them by accident this time. It was kind of okay. The guy who did the work, he was snarky and smart alecky and that?s why I gave a ?B? on professionalism. I would have done a ?C?, but I am trying to be fair and not get personal and all of that.

When I discovered they were in Carmel, I was not surprised by that guy?s attitude, but he may not live there. He did get the work done and it?s working properly, but he was very smart alecky from the beginning. It was difficult for him to get the task done and he complained about that. The other thing that I did not discover until a week was that he left a mess. From the pipe that he cut, he just threw them on the floor in my basement and left them. I don?t really like complaining about people. "

"Things went very well.  Initially was going to get a new heat pump.  Clay gave me three options (good, better, best) to choose from.  After getting proposal, I decided to ask for estimates for a gas furnace/air conditioner system, which is an upgrade since the house never had gas furnace.  Again given three options, and I chose the middle option.  New air conditioner is working beautifully.  Installation quality is far superior to that of system originally installed in house in 1998 when built.

"Once he examined the pipe he informed me that trying to change a pipe that far gone could result in the pipe breaking. If that were to happen I would have to replace my whole water heater. Having just bought the home two weeks ago I don't have the money in my budget for a new water heater. He suggested that I let it ride for now and start saving up in the meantime. I very much appreciated Bobs time and honesty. I would highly recommend anyone dealing with plumbing problems to contact Indy Jones Plumbing. Thanks Bob!

"They are truly service without the gimmicks!!!  Mark was the plumbers name.  He was extremely professional and polite.  He explained everything that was wrong in understandable terms.  We had a broken flange in our half bath downstairs that we found in our process of renovating the restroom.  He had to remove the tee in the basement and install a new flange, reset toilet with new bolts and wax rings.  They provide a 1yr warranty, which gives me peace of mind of the quality provided.  Extremely helpful, I asked him questions about concerns about my other two restrooms, he explained the noise. Turns out the sound we hear is due to pipes in the wall not properly tied down.  A noise we will be ok with.  I also learned from him not to use those tablets in the tank because they deteriorate the rings! The knowledge he shared is much appreciated!  He performed his work in a very clean way.  I don't even know if he made a mess because he even cleaned up some paint smears I had accidently made...so he left my bathroom floor cleaner then he found it!  I'm jubilant with the service provided, and the quality was excellent! Thank you for your service.  If I need a plumber in the future, I know I will call them!

FAQs for gas piping projects in Jonesville, IN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
