"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"We called Wildlife Evictors based on a friend's recommendation and were not disappointed. There were multiple raccoons driving us crazy making noise in the soffit area on the back of our house. Shinyan came over, found the entry point and installed an exit door, but some of the raccoons wouldn't leave after mangling the exit door. I suggested he install the exit door where the vent is located, so Shinyan installed the exit door there, and they left shortly thereafter. After we were assured they were definitely gone, Shinyan came back and reinstalled the vent. He repairs the house entry points with metal and paints over the metal to blend in with the house. He is punctual and followed up so I didn't have to call him to come back. We were impressed."

"They were terrific. Their work was meticulous; we've never seen such attention to detail and care. Every single crack and hole in the wood was filled and sanded before painting. We've had our house painted before but we have never experienced such painstaking care being taken by any other provider to do such a thorough, professional job. Under Michael Huff's care, our home was transformed into a real beauty. Michael is a true professional and he does not rush through a job or cut corners. He made sure every tiny detail was tended to, and he was totally honest and upfront with us about every aspect of this project. It was a very positive experience and we'd recommend him to anyone looking for a quality paint job done right. In fact, we're planning on having him return this spring to stain a newly installed deck, and he'll be the painter we hire when it's time to paint our home's interior. It is a mom and pop company and they do a fantastic job. I bought the paint and they put it on. The work has held up fairly well. They did very good detail work, but they were stronger on the exterior than the interior. I will be happy to call him back if I had any painting in the future."

"Leo showed up on time with a helper and began working immediately. He built a laundry table, installed ring camera, assembled Ikea furniture and installed sliding shelves, hung shelves, and a few other projects. Once they were finished with all the projects they cleaned up all the areas they worked in. Leo was there the entire day to perform all the tasks asked of him and made suggestion for ideas I had but I didn't know how to execute. Leo was professional, friendly, accommodating, and I would hire him again for future projects."

"After a storm damaged our roof, Pro Roofing helped us to fight our insurance company for over a year. Other companies weren't willing to get involved, but Pro Roofing has people who specialize in this sort of thing. They knew how to deal with the insurance company to get them to approve funds towards the repair and then to fight their original estimate to get us more. If you have roof work that involves dealing with an insurance company, these are the folks to use. The new roof they installed looks great. It makes the house look significantly better and well maintained. Could not recommend more."

FAQs for carpentry framing installation projects in Kingston, GA

Professional contractors complete basement framing in three to five days, depending on the size and complexity of your space. Projects with simple, open layouts progress faster than those with multiple rooms and corners. DIY framers should expect the job to take significantly longer, potentially seven to 10 days or more, depending on experience level and available time. The timeline doesn't include other aspects of basement finishing like drywall installation, electrical work, or finishing touches, which extend the overall renovation schedule.

Most municipalities require building permits for basement framing projects. These permits cost between $1,200 and $2,000, ensuring your renovation meets local building codes for safety and structural integrity. Working without proper permits can result in penalties, forced removal of completed work, and complications when selling your home. Your local building department can provide specific information about permit requirements, inspection schedules, and any special considerations for basement renovations in your area.

For basement framing, use pressure-treated lumber for bottom plates (the horizontal boards that contact concrete floors) to prevent moisture damage and rot. Standard kiln-dried lumber is suitable for wall studs and top plates that don't directly contact concrete surfaces. The most common lumber dimension for basement wall framing is two-by-four, though some situations may call for two-by-six lumber to accommodate thicker insulation. Always check local building codes, as some jurisdictions have specific requirements for basement framing materials.

You can install drywall after framing is complete and inspected, but several important steps should happen first. Ensure any electrical, plumbing, or HVAC rough-ins are completed and inspected before closing up walls. Installing insulation between studs is highly recommended for temperature control and moisture management. Drywall installation adds an average of $3 to $4 per linear foot to your project, with painting costing an additional $2 to $6 per square foot. Address any moisture concerns before enclosing walls to prevent future damage and mold issues.
