"Can not imagine a better response, starting with my call for assistance, response time and how the technician, Tad methodically diagnosed the problem. We have an obscure kitchen fixture that required service in Feb 2019. Under warranty the problem was easily diagnosed by me, a problem possibly caused by me and a replacement part sent and installed by Albert Nahman team. Problem: I broke the faucet cartridge. Current Problem: restricted hot water flow in this kitchen sink only. Turns out the new cartridge part is now malfunctioning. I called and Tad arrived taking a step by step approach ruling out possible causes: a clog here or there, build up of sediment, or blockage in the lines or cartridge. The company that sells the product got on the phone with Tad and they collaborated on the problem and the tech person gave Tad one more thing to try. After the collaboration it is agreed, problem persisted and therefore that new cartridge part is now malfunctioning and will be shipped free of charge in two days. Thanks to all, who made this possible and I trust we will have Tad here again soon to finalize this fix. BTW, cost of service was less than expected given going rates for such a call lasting in excess of one hour. Another comment, spending time with Tad during the repair was a pleasure to have him explain, collaborate, listen and just chat. Questions on who to call next time, no question who I will call next time. I have read criticism of costs: In the Berkeley area "How much does it cost to hire a plumber? Some plumbers have a minimum fee for a service call. They might charge anywhere from $175-250 to come out and give you a consultation. Plumbers may give you a general service rate of $128-148 per hour when there are a lot of unknowns about a project and they aren't sure how long it will take. Some charge a flat rate for their plumbing services. For example, you may get charged $175 for a sink or drain cleaning, while toilet installation costs $500." Today costs are upfront, same as charges in Feb, $69 to arrive and assess the problem. Here in excess of one hour for $129 minus $25 coupon, total charge $173. I am ok and I expected these costs. If I was in Philly, where I grew up, I could call an uncle or cousin and get a better rate, a family rate. This is going rate for our area."

"The plumbers from Superior Plumbing were excellent. They replaced and rerouted water pipes, changing from galvanized to copper pipes. The sewer lines in our house were repaired. They also replaced an aging hot water heater. The technicians arrived on time, worked diligently through the day, and were efficient. We added on the sewer repair which added an additional day. "Hello fellow consumers,
They came to do a water heater flush and replace a faucet - Angie's deal for $49.
They found some problems, which were valid.
But they used that as an excuse to charge extremely inflated prices.
I had to talk with my wife about the balance between not having them do the work now because their price was absurd vs. having another plumber come out, taking another 1/2 day off of work, to save a few hundred dollars.
Unfortunately my wife and I have been insanely busy due to her new job, so I just had them do the work, but I feel sick about it.
That is not what I want from a business to earn my loyalty, I will never use them again.
Readers may decide for themselves whether the price was fair and/or reasonable - 

What they did was (not included in the AL deal)...

Replaced approx. 20' of water line.  They used 3/4 copper 6 for replacement.  

Installed 3/4 ball valve and two supply lines.

Installed new Anode rod to replace the old one in the water heater.

Replaced approx. 10' of plastic laundry drain to foundation of house.

There were two guys, although for at least 70% of the time the assistant/apprentice just stood around.

So, including the time to do all work for the Angie's list deal - about 1/3 of the time - and the added work that they charged me for, and explaining why I needed all this, and to drink the coffee I made for them, the total time on site was about 3 hours.

I was charged a total, after a "discount", of $1,967.00.

Ultimately I paid almost $2,000 for no more than two hours of work, done almost entirely by one person, using materials consisting of 20' of copper 3/4' line, 10' of plastic drain, a valve, an anode rod, and two supply lines.
If that sounds good to you, by all means call up Benjamin Franklin, The Punctual Plumber.
But I will NEVER use them again, and I recommend you stay away as well.

"We asked another plumbing service to come last Friday and it was a complete failure.
The owner's son came and he brought a helper.The helper was very young - 17-21(?) and didn't speak English at all. It looked like he was getting trained. .They tried two different rooter sizes and then went to Home Depot get a really small manual one. The came back 2 hours later and still couldn't get it unclogged to as they were not able to get through or clear the P-trap. So they recommended cutting a hole in the ceiling in the room below and replacing the P-trap for $500-700 (!)
Plus when they left it was worse than before and they left a mess in the shower floor and walls - no clean up. NOT professional They didn't fix it so at least they didn't charge me- would have bee $150.
The next business day we called -Gladiator ( who we had used before) and they came the same day and the guy was done in 10 minutes - it was just hair in the drain! Less than $100.

"Three men were sent to get everything cleaned up in a day. They also arranged for the plumber to go and make the pipe repair the next morning so that my tenants were not inconvenienced for more than one day. They did a very good job cleaning and sanitizing the area."
