"Joshua with Lee's Doors was recommended to me by my brother-in-law. I was not disappointed. Had two new garage doors installed and an opener installed. Love how they look and operate! Would hire Josh again if needed. He was very courteous and a good worker. Answered my questions re: everything he was doing. "

"The gentlemen that came to my house the same day I requested service. They were very proficient, courteous, and hard-working. Very reasonably priced and I learned some thing about garage doors."

"I came home from work on Tuesday and the garage door I usually park behind would not open. The problem was the arm that attaches the door to the opener had pulled loose from the door. I called WD Door and they were at my place the next day just about the same time I got home from work. Not only did the service technician repair the door, he also check the other garage door's operation and lubricated both doors. I have used WD Door for all my garage door issues since my home was built in 2000. Their service is excellent, prices are fair, and I highly recommend them to anyone. <br />"

"John is an awesome service tech. Very polite and very helpful. He did the job correctly. <br /> I bought a house from an investment company who did not place the correct size doors, railings etc and failed to replace the termite damage found. I couldn't get my doors to function properly and called Precision Door. John was able to come out and assess the situation. John went above and beyond to make things right and correct all the problems. He took the time to carefully explain why my doors were going off balance and it all made sense. He stayed until the job was done. Hidden termite damage was found. He didn't have to replace the termite damaged frame, but wanted to make me a happy customer. John has since followed up with me to make sure everything is still okay. That is what I call customer service. <br /> Thank you! <br />"

FAQs for garage door installation and replacement projects in Knoxville, IA

Yes, you can replace just one panel if your door is sectional and the damaged panel is available. Most modern residential garage doors have four to six horizontal panels that can be individually replaced. However, finding an exact match becomes challenging for older doors or discontinued styles. For doors over 15 to 20 years old or with multiple damaged panels, a complete door replacement might be more practical and visually consistent.

Minor dents or cosmetic damage can often be repaired without replacing the entire panel, potentially saving you money. However, if the damage affects the door's operation, security, or structural integrity, replacement is often a better investment.

For extensive damage to multiple panels or older doors where matching is difficult, full door replacement might be more economical in the long run than multiple individual panel replacements.

Your garage door panel might be repairable if the damage is superficial and doesn't affect functionality. Small dents in aluminum panels, minor scratches, or cosmetic issues often don't require full replacement. However, replacement is often necessary if the panel is warped, has large holes, shows extensive rust, or affects how the door operates. A professional garage door technician can evaluate the damage and recommend whether repair or replacement offers the best value and durability.
