They said it probably wouldn't be that high, and they will bill the insurance company. They billed my insurance company " USAA " 28,648.07 (10717.60 more than the original estimate). When USAA said they wouldn't pay it, they told them that they had made a mistake in billing, and the new bill was 22,577.54 , which once again USAA said was too much. USAA hired an independent 3rd party to review everything, and they would pay would be 11392.51 and they mailed a check to me for that amount. Servmate told me that this is a game they play with insurance companies. Servmate pointed out some other cost they had and USAA paid an additional 888..15 which they still wouldn't except. They told USAA the least the they would except was 22,577.54. USAA wouldn't pay, and they said they would take 18,000.00. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM "

"I had a poor experience. I hired this company to do a mold assessment in my apartment. I dealt with the owner. First, he requested cash or check payment only. He made an appointment and did not show up or contact me. I had to call him. In one of the rooms, the pipes above and whatever else the cause of the leak was, had been leaking repeatedly for 40 years, and the plaster constantly replaced. I was worried about mold ABOVE the ceiling on the beams and studs and not just the visible mold on the ceiling plaster and I worried it could be black mold. He did not seem to listen to what I told him and he did not use a water meter to check for saturation or a borescope or any other tools except taking a surface sample and air sample (the borescope and water meter I did not know about until after I had paid him for this inadequate job). He did not mention anything I said in the report. He was also rude and unkind and never provided me with a receipt."

"Lesson learned. Always get an estimate. BEFORE the work is done. At least a digital copy. Arrangements for the project were made, with some one named Lynn, for the company to send someone to complete the work. We were quoted over the phone 4500-5000 which included a mold test. A sub contractor with an entirely different company (National Mold Company) was sent. When the contractor arrived, he stated that the job would be much more simpler than first thought. This led us to believe that the job would cost less, no. All said and done, they charged $5500. All said and done, it's almost like no work was done. The stains and the smell are still there. Only one actual board was taken upon the attic room. The ceiling in the bedroom was primed and painted but are still visible and have a funky smell. At this point I'm going to. Do what we should have done; Do the job ourselves. Just now with $5500 less dollars in our pockets. A detailed receipt was not given even though it was requested."

"I regret giving over $80k to this contractor. Jim, Chase and all others did shotty work in my home and now their work needs to be redone by a professional. Even after things stopped working I called them back and no one came out or contacted me to fix it. My window frames and baseboards were installed improperly as well as my electrical. My flooring is lifting and new stairs installed weren’t even nailed in properly, my husband nearly broke his hip on the stairs. I wish I could take it all back and never would’ve trust them."
