"I noticed my water heater leaking late in the evening (Saturday night), and Sunday morning I reached out to Angie's List for a water heater replacement. I set my expectations that it probably wouldn't be attended to until the work week, but Jesus for Jess Plumbing responded within minutes. Checking with some of the big box stores, Jesus had extremely reasonable pricing that included the purchase of the water heater, labor for removing/installing, and hauling away the old one. After confirming pricing, he was at my home with the new water heater in hand within the hour. Once he arrived, he had a very warm and open attitude as he broke down all the steps that we'd be going through. he was very knowledgeable with the alternate methods of electric or tankless, and gave the pros/cons should I decide for an upgrade in the future. Throughout the install, I enjoyed our conversation very much and he didn't mind that I hung out in the garage while working on other projects. He moved with the intention that only comes with years of experience, deliberate and precise. When we had to shut off the water he communicated that ahead of time knowing that my family could possibly have a need to access it. Overall the whole process went incredibly smooth and would not hesitate to hire him again or to recommend him to a friend."

Evan had the right tool for the job and it came right off and he replace the faucet with a high quality replacement. Next I showed him the leaky faucet connection under my kitchen sink. He found that the O-ring was damage. Evan fixed the leak without having to buy a new Grohe faucet. Finally, he replaced all the RO filters on my Reverse Osmosis system. "Can not imagine a better response, starting with my call for assistance, response time and how the technician, Tad methodically diagnosed the problem. We have an obscure kitchen fixture that required service in Feb 2019. Under warranty the problem was easily diagnosed by me, a problem possibly caused by me and a replacement part sent and installed by Albert Nahman team. Problem: I broke the faucet cartridge. Current Problem: restricted hot water flow in this kitchen sink only. Turns out the new cartridge part is now malfunctioning. I called and Tad arrived taking a step by step approach ruling out possible causes: a clog here or there, build up of sediment, or blockage in the lines or cartridge. The company that sells the product got on the phone with Tad and they collaborated on the problem and the tech person gave Tad one more thing to try. After the collaboration it is agreed, problem persisted and therefore that new cartridge part is now malfunctioning and will be shipped free of charge in two days. Thanks to all, who made this possible and I trust we will have Tad here again soon to finalize this fix. BTW, cost of service was less than expected given going rates for such a call lasting in excess of one hour. Another comment, spending time with Tad during the repair was a pleasure to have him explain, collaborate, listen and just chat. Questions on who to call next time, no question who I will call next time. I have read criticism of costs: In the Berkeley area "How much does it cost to hire a plumber? Some plumbers have a minimum fee for a service call. They might charge anywhere from $175-250 to come out and give you a consultation. Plumbers may give you a general service rate of $128-148 per hour when there are a lot of unknowns about a project and they aren't sure how long it will take. Some charge a flat rate for their plumbing services. For example, you may get charged $175 for a sink or drain cleaning, while toilet installation costs $500." Today costs are upfront, same as charges in Feb, $69 to arrive and assess the problem. Here in excess of one hour for $129 minus $25 coupon, total charge $173. I am ok and I expected these costs. If I was in Philly, where I grew up, I could call an uncle or cousin and get a better rate, a family rate. This is going rate for our area."

"Had a cracked undermount bathroom sink that needed replacement, which isn't really something either contractors or plumbers typically deal with. Luckily (and surprisingly) Mike Counsil Plumbing listed this service on their website, and they confirmed this over the phone. Called on a Mon. morning...very polite and helpful, scheduled earliest available appt. Wed. morning. Arrived within stated appt. window, and provided work estimate; separate pro came shortly thereafter to start actual work. Proved to be a difficult job to carefully remove old sink without damaging granite or wood countertops, but the pro did a great job. Although we furnished the replacement sink, the pro had to take a trip to the local hardware store to get additional undersink mounts - something we didn't anticipate. Once installed, it became clear that the new sink basin drain was closer to the back wall; so, to salvage the existing pipe, he took an additional trip to the hardware store to get an uncommon short pipe adapter, which he didn't stock on his van. Still ended up having to cut the pipe stub down to fit the drain and P-trap, but we appreciated the willingness to solve the problem - solve all of the problems that popped up, as everyones setup is slightly different. So, the pro ended taking several hours to get it all done, and the labor charge as you might imagine was costly...but fair. But the end result was a new, leak-free bathroom sink, as if nothing had ever happened. And, as a busy person who values their time, it was well worth it. I never noticed their green vans around town before, but I do now - Mike Counsil Plumbing services are clearly in demand, and it's obvious why."

"Our roof was in bad shape and we needed to have it replaced. I had gotten estimates and decided to go with Home Pro Remodeling. Emil and Brian were our contact people for the project. Emil was very professional and paid attention to our concerns. He worked with us through the entire project to our complete satisfaction. Brian is extremely courteous and helpful as well! "My lovely home in Saratoga required a water re-pipe. Upon giving TJ plumbing, a call, a clean, looking young man arrived at my doorstep. He was very friendly and professional. He introduced himself as TJ and proceeded to kindly asked me to give him a brief tour of the house for his assessment. Upon the end of the house tour, he proceeded to ask me about my expectations. I told them that I was just looking to replace my pipes. TJ began to present the several options that were available for my new plumbing pipes. His office included, standard replacement, addition of a softener, a relocation and upgrade of a water heater, and also the different options of materials ranging from PEX, thin-copper, and thicker-copper (apparently there’s a difference in copper, which I never knew) TJ came across very knowledgeable and quite capable of performing the task at hand. I decided to go with him and to commence the work. He was very professional, he took care of my wood floors by creating a walkway with tarps, wrapped plastic around furniture and areas of the living room, bedrooms, and dining rooms, where he intended to work to minimize dust and debris. He consistently kept me updated as to the progress of the work, and gave me a Fair Notice as to when he will be turning off the water. This gave me an ability to use any of my facilities before he disabled them. While working under the crawlspace, he also found an issue with my drain pipe, which was cracked and seeping sewer waste in my crawlspace. For a reasonable price, he took care of the cracked drain pipe on top of all the work he was currently working on. His pricing also included repairing the drywall that had to be cut open. He is not the “I can do everything type of plumber” because for purposes of the drywall, he hired a professional drywaller to repair the walls, which seemed as if they were never opened. I was extremely happy with the end result, and with the quality of work that he provided. I personally decided to include the upgrade and relocation of the water heater to an outdoor tankless. This gave me the ability to reclaim space in my garage, which I can now use to hoard more unnecessary junk. I highly recommend TJ plumbing for any plumbing needs around the home.
