"The service was excellent! They arrived to pick up the vehicle a day earlier which was great. They delivered the vehicle right to my daughter's door and found a side street to unload. The service was delivered within the time frame given. All of my questions were answered via phone or email and the paperwork was seamless and the price was very reasonable."

"They build all of their products custom to each opening. The installer came out and measured before I ordered. They came back out after the guards were delivered to install them. They custom designed a set to match my doors. The finished product is beautiful."

"A very good experience. I called on a Friday morning, Randy answered the phone and matter-of-fact-ly gathered the information needed, said he had the parts on hand and could have it fixed that afternoon between 1 and 4pm. I agreed, made the appointment, and at 2:30 the technician (unfortunately I didn't get his name) called from outside and took less than an hour to replace the glass. I appreciated his attention to doing a good job, which included vacuuming out all the broken glass inside and cleaning/aligning/lubricating all the gasket/edging to ensure smooth opening and closing."

"I plan to hire Frank back for all my handyman needs! I found him on Angie's list based on his a rating and location. I called him and he was able to squeeze in a visit to a new property we had just purchased to give me a quote. I found out when he arrived that he was extremely knowledgeable about manufactured homes. We didn't realize that we had purchased a manufactured home and there was no designation for handymen with this expertise on Angie's list. I had a full inspection report and Frank walked through the entire report with me. He was great about explaining and even pointing out other items and educating me on why it happened and how serious it was or wasn't. He was very thorough and even climbed down into the crawlspace, which the next contractor I had out to give me a bid, did not. He called me that evening with the quote and got started two days later. Frank did a great job, was flexible, completed the work quickly, and I found him to be trustworthy. I would definitely recommend him."

"Mary and Bob are a great team. She takes care of the communications and he is a great carpenter from what I can tell. He did a small job for me, working for a community resource efficiency organization, so I can only review from this but he did great, efficient work. He installed some new, efficient basement windows and caulked/ trimmed them out and they look great. He also installed a door around my furnace and water heater to keep the cold air intakes from leaking cold air into my finished basement. Also, did a great job, and he had some un-plumb walls and tricky dimensions to deal with. He made a dumpy laundry room look like, well, an actual room!  <br /> I should stress that Bob and Mary contract to CLEER, which as amazing non-profit organization in Carbondale, Colorado that gathers funding for local homeowners to make energy-efficiency upgrades.  I would recommend them to anyone and everyone! <br />"

"Davitt was out within a couple of hours of calling. He is a really great guy. I do a lot of my own repairs, but after doing a bunch of troubleshooting on the in floor system, I knew it was time for a pro. He took time to work through explaining the system to me as this was the first house we have had an integrated furnace, water heater and flooring heat. It turns out he was the sub on the original 2015 construction. The issue was a bad control panel that operate the zone valves and furnace. Rather than go get the parts himself and incur more costs, he allowed me to go get the parts for him. That allowed him to spend the time pulling the old unit out. One thermostat needed replaced in addition which I did while he was putting the new control panel in. Yep, just see how many contractors would work with you to save costs by you working with them. He also provided the contact info for the other original subs on the house which is awesome info. The parts costs were very reasonable. They could have been easily inflated to double the material line item amount as control panels are typically very expensive components to any specialized system. To address the D rating review. You should have told him this was an insurance claim in the first place. Good luck getting folks to give you itemized materials list. Would you expect a carpenter to give you a materials list on every size board, nail and screw. Your expectations were unrealistic. After all this was supposedly an insurance claim. They are the ones to take it up with unless you were trying to pocket the difference. We are planning to construct another building on the property and will be strongly supporting Davitt as the sub for plumbing and heating."

"Mark built me a full ground up home in Durango CO several years ago. The whole process was actually fun and stress free because of him. Most recently he helped me with my rental in Telluride (where he now resides). I had some issues with kitchen cabinet a that were no longer staying shut. One phone call and Mark made time for my little job within days and had everything working perfectly again within hours. I will continue to use Mark & Alpine Industries for maintenance needs as well as full contractor services should I ever get the chance to build new again! <br />"

FAQs for thermostat installation and replacement projects in Lake City, CO

Smart thermostats may be worth it for many homeowners. They come with various features, including voice control and smartphone apps. Vacation mode can help lower energy usage when you’re out of town for an extended period. Alert warnings let you know about major spikes or drops in temperature. Smartphone apps can track energy usage, and smart thermostats can learn your routine over time to adjust your temperature and reduce wasted energy consumption automatically.

You typically do not need more than one smart thermostat. While it’s common to see multiple mechanical thermostats throughout a large home, multiple smart thermostats may try to override each other. This can lead to problems with the HVAC system. Ensure the unit you buy has the option for dual- or multi-zoned systems to avoid compatibility issues.

Installing a programmable or smart thermostat may save you $180 per year in utility costs. A big part of this comes from a smart thermostat’s ability to learn and adapt to your regular routines. With smartphone apps or web-based interfaces, you also have the option to control your thermostat when you’re not home.
