Recommendation is that if you need this service performed is to get a quote in writing from the vendor ahead of time or just get a shop vac and do it yourself. Will not recommend although would like to hear vendor response as to how this poor customer experience could work better. (UPDATE): The Vendor has reached out to try and mitigate the cost and is much appreciated."

"My 14 year old Hot water heater started leaking . I went to Home Advisor.com and they gave me two Plumbing Services .. I asked to get a quote on both, but 10 min. later the owner of Absolute called and I liked what I was told. It was late at night and he said they would be at my house right after a job they had in the morning. A Technician showed up around noon and gave me a price I liked . I told him they've got the job and he started on the job of disconnecting my old one and removed it ! A couple hours later the owner showed up with a new one. It looked much better than my old one ! Then the other Plumbing Service called and I told them I already had the job done .. The new one had the same water capacity ( 40 gal ) , but it was much larger ( more insulation ? ) and they had to make some adjustments, but did not ask for more money than I was quoted !! I was very happy with their work and I doubt if another Plumbing Service would have done the job as good, or cheaper ! Before calling Home Advisors I had checked water heater prices and if I would have purchased one and did the job myself I'm sure it would have cost me more !!"

"When I called to schedule they were ready to come out the next day. I ended scheduling a week out due to my schedule. The day of there was a major storm. Many people's basements were flooded. I did not expect them to make due to the emergencies- very understandable. When I called to check (expecting to reschedule) we said that " I promised you we would put the back up pump in today. If it can come early evening we will be there." Sure enough they came, worked quickly but with quality, cleaned up and explained the system to me. Highly recommend!"
