"Until now, I've always had bad experiences with hiring plumbers. Not any more! OPT Was amazing! The plumber that came out, Nate, was phenomenal. He took time to explain everything, ensure I knew what the various options were, and helped me make the best decision for my budget. Nate and the whole firm made me feel like they were personally vested in making sure my plumbing was fixed and working properly. I cannot stress how great their service is, and how much faith and trust they earn with their work and dedication to your project!"

"Raymond was very professional. Worked with us financially, and was very helpful with explaining everything he was doing. He was prompt and even discarded the old water heater. We would definitely hire him again and will be recommending him to friends and family."

"Excellent job and even kept me up to date on what they were doing and how they were doing. Alex, Joe, Connors, even Caitlin the sectary was all professional. I called 3 companies prior to contacting Atlas and glad that I kept looking because the ones before Atlas were terrible I am so happy that it finally turned out good with Atlas. This was very stressful just down right stress until talking to Atlas, the job wasn't cheap because lot of work went into this project new pipes underneath the house replace a three way connection to sewage out let. My advice to anyone having an issue like I did "smell" was bad also check Atlas out first you will not go wrong. Thank you Atlas."

"Did great work capping our gas line for a new induction range insert. Stayed to make sure our other gas appliances re-lit and checked for any leaks. Said to get in touch any time with questions. Nice experience."

"The technician was great. We had a small job but he came out to let us know what would be involved and then came back to complete the work after we had the gas meter moved. Very positive on the phone and in person. The technician was patient in explaining the work and coordinated with the siding installers to be sure it was what was needed. I thought the cost was fine - it's not something you could do yourself, yet they didn't charge for the initial visit - just for the time spent on the job. I would definitely recommend them and trust them on a bigger job.

FAQs for gas piping projects in Lakebay, WA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
