He is both very knowledgeable and a clear communicator--a most helpful combination for someone like me who knows so little about this technology. Mr. Nichols researched what we needed at our home--a replacement for a failing central AC system and a new portable AC unit for the upstairs. He offered information and choices about equipment within our financial means that would work for us. Thus we knew costs for equipment and service as fully as possible ahead of time. He and his crew came on schedule, with their tools and our new system and new portable unit--prepared to dismantle the old system and install the new one. By the time his crew left our home that day, the new equipment was working fine; all paperwork was signed; our bill was settled. We were encouraged to reach Mr. Nichols with any follow-up questions or concerns. He offers 24-hour emergency service. And when he discovered dangerous black mold in the old system--hidden and worsening for years because of an error made long ago by the original installer--Mr. Nichols removed the cause of the trouble and also referred us to an excellent system cleaning service for our home--with whom we're already following up. I do recommend Mr. Nichols and A-1 Heating & Cooling Enterprises to anyone investigating an improvement--sudden or planned--for a home. We're relieved here at our home--and we're cool."

"Replaced a leaky gasket in furnace, and performed routine maintenance and service. The techs were knowledgeable and explained the work they were doing, and the reason for the recommended repairs. The techs arrived within the service time window estimate, and gave a "heads up" call about 20 minutes before arrival. They also provide a picture of the tech prior to the appointment time. They put booties over their shoes upon entering your house and leave the work area cleaner than when they arrived. Everyone at Grasshopper, from the office people to the techs, was friendly and professional. They made you feel like they actually cared about customer satisfaction. I did feel that the repair cost, relative to the amount of time spent, was on the high side, although I really have no reference to compare to. I would definitely use them again, and recommend that you consider calling them for service and/or repair."

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."
