I called the office on a Thursday and he was able to come out the following Tuesday, which was significantly quicker than anywhere else we called (if they even answered the phone, because most didn’t). Derek is very communicative, easy to work with and transparent about materials and cost. He was super friendly, always on time, and sent updates with pictures about how the job was going. He looked at other places around the house as well, that might need repairs first, as we were looking to paint the house later this summer. "Young man who came to do the job told us that they sent him to 3 wrong houses before they found ours. He proceeded to unclog the drain in the basement using the mechanical drain. Took him maybe an hour to clear it and also ran our sinks and toilets to make sure we wouldn?t have another problem. The young man left our house, however proceeded to sit in his running van, parked in my parking spot. I had no issues with this service until I saw the bill. $1000 to snake a drain for an hour? When we inquired about the bill they told us that their rate is 300$ an hour and that the job took 3 hours. In my opinion, if it takes you 3 hours to snake a drain, then someone should be fired or retrained at their job. My assumption is that their scheme involved sending this young man to multiple wrong houses and him sitting in my driveway for a prolong period of time, so that they could charge us for 3 hours of ?work.? "

"I would thank them for the work and services. Max was very prompt and polite. We were definitely taken aback with the bill. We were not informed about any of the charges around: 1. Time taken for pulling the permit(1hour@$180) 2. Time for inspector coming in(1hour@$180) 3. Price for permit These 3 costs total to $425. The material cost of $263 definitely seemed marked up. * I wish they had mentioned about expecting these costs so that we could make an informed decision. * We have had several permits pulled in last year ( had frozen pipe burst situation so had renovations going on for multiple months) and never were charged for the time taken to pull permit or for inspectors time at the time of inspection. * Max mentioned it was going to be $180 an hour and you were here for 2 hours from start to end.. The father(Peter) kept mentioning about the emergency charges that there are plumbers that charge $300 an hour, I was clear that we were okay with waiting for a couple of days so there was no question of those charges being applied. He kept giving an explanation of the bill being high enough but it seemed very vague. We were charge $1100 for 2 hours of work to fix a slow gas leak that National grid had identified and pointed to us so they shut of our gas supply. National grid guys had told us that it would be only 1-2 hours of plumbing work. I would not recommend them for sure for the sour taste it has left for us. I wish we went with presidential plumbing or 128 plumbing that we have gone in the past. They are expensive but you know the quote before hand."

"they initially quoted $89 for AC diagnostics which is reasonable even though most companies charge nothing. Technician is very friendly and knowledgeable and walked me through the process. he checked the compressor outside and he suspected a leak. and then wanted to check the coil inside the blower. he detected a small leak with the electronic device. he mentioned coil may need replacement. After spending 10 mins in his truck to call the company he came back and said coil is not covered with warranty and quoted $5,400 to replace the coil and it is backordered for 6 weeks. 6 week will brings us to mid August so i told him i dont want to sign up for repair and wait 6 weeks. he then tried to sell me a maintenance plan which i declined. Then he said he will charge for the diagnostics which he spent total 30 mins including talking on the phone for warranty coverage. he said he did more than basic diagnostics which is $149. when he handed me the payment he added up initial $89 and $149 to pay $238 for 30 mins diagnostics. Total scam. i dont even know if they do any real work beyond the charging $238 for 30 mins diagnostics. probably they will hire a separate contractor to do the job and keep selling overpriced diagnostics and maintenance plans. They all you 10 times to sell you the initial diagnostics but after you pay $238 not even a single call to ask about experience. worst ever."
