"Worker should up on time (or close to it) and took a few hours to remove the old door and frame. He left for a couple of hours to buy the supplies and do lunch. After he returned, he completed the widening and put in the new door and frame. He did have to come back the next day to stain the door but that is because the color he had , I felt was too light, so he had to get some new stain of a different color. After about 2 weeks, the door 'settled ' and wasn't shutting exactly as we thought it should. He came back out and did an adjustment and it now works perfect. <br /> <br />"

"<p>After suffering a flood on May 23 I received estimates from several contractors. Out of all the contractors to provide an estimate John Brooks Construction was the most detailed and professional. I built my home with my father more than forty years ago. John was the only contractor who took this into consideration and the only one who said he could custom build the lower damaged cabinets to match the upper cabinetry that I built with my father. After speaking with a few of his references I hired him to remove the mold damage, restore all of the flood damage and moving out and packing in all my contents. The night I hired them I slept better than I had since the flood knowing they were going to take care of everything. He hired an outside company to perform the pre and post mold test. They passed the mold post testing on time and started rebuilding my home. Their staff walked me through each step of their restoration process and time line. As the photos show they did an excellent job matching the cabinetry and stain. They completed way before I expected. There aren?t any lines that can be seen where the drywall was replaced in every room of my 2500 square foot home. It was like a flood had never occurred. I would recommend their services to anyone.</p> <br />"

"Shawn Owens and his team provided excellent service. They completed our bathroom remodel on time and for the price they quoted. They took care of a lot of extra issues that popped up during their short time at the house. I found a few extra things for them to do as well and they finished that work for very fair pricing. <br /> You always wonder about who you invite into your home. i would not hesitate to let Shawn and his crew into my home at any time. They are to be trusted. My wife and I always felt comfortable with them. <br /> I would recommend Shawn going forward. He started the project when he said he would and finished it before his expected completion date. <br /> .Great people, great service, great contractor. <br />"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Lawton, OK

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
