""Concrete Alternatives is the gold standard for service providers. Dan and Dave were a pleasure to deal with, and Chris did an outstanding job of leveling our walkway, thereby eliminating what was a tripping hazard. "They arrived promptly when expected and executed the work to my complete satisfaction. The injection holes for the lifting foam don't stand out too badly and they only had to drill a few of them. The sidewalk was lifted to its proper height. After the lift, the sealing was applied and coated with quartz sand, more attractive than the original black material."

"<br /> Basements Love US came out in a terrible rain storm to address a water leak in my concrete basement. They identified two areas of trouble; my patio slab connected to the back of my basement and two vertical cracks 10 feet high.  They poured concrete and replaced the slab including a bell drain for drainage which came out very nice. Even built a stair that leads to the sliding glass patio.  They repaired the vertical crack by digging down to the bottom of my wall (excavated) and they used this waterproof gel, then filled the space back with dirt. It looks very nice. The waterproofing and concrete work came with a warranty which gave me comfort. They also sprayed the basement with a mold remediation product and did an OZONE treatment to purify the air. "Since I had never had any experience hiring a contractor in the past I was quite apprehensive about making the final decision on who would take the responsibility to put a brand new face on my home. After the ice & snow brought down my rear patio roof crushing my outdoor spa & furniture I was devestaed & thought I would never have that back to it's original glory. <br /> I could not be happier after the 8 week long dealings with Penn Contractors. It is not only back & beautiful, it's better then before. <br /> The 22 year old aluminum siding was removed & new vinyl siding was installed along with new plastic shutters & new door should in the front of my home. They even went above & beyond filling in some bare spots on my back lawn with soil & grass seed while fixing the areas that were originally disturbed by construction. <br /> Adjectives to describe my personal experience; <br /> -Professional <br /> -Courteous <br /> -Detailed <br /> -Friendly <br /> -Craftsman <br /> -Knowledgeable <br /> -Punctual <br /> -Last, they were very nice to my annoying Pomeranian. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Ray Brown Jr. came to my house when he said he would be there.  This was a late day emergency - no water from any faucets.  He troubleshot the situation, found the solution and fixed the problem in a very reasonable amount of time and at a very fair price. <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Lehigh Valley, PA

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
