"I called Mark from Advanced Air Solutions Saturday morning with an issue with my AC unit. They came out within 2 hours and assessed the issue. He had my Air conditioner up and running with an hour. I will be using Mark for my future HVAC needs. Thanks Mark!"

"Late in the evening I discovered our freezer was not working and found the outlet unpowered.  I checked the main electrical panel and found a tripped cb which I attempted to reset.  It would not reset.  I sent an email to Jason at JAC Electric with a list of days that we would be available for any required repair.  I  got an email and a text response right away and Jason had someone scheduled to come over the next morning.  Bob arrived right on time and checked the outlets and then confirmed the cb was bad and he replaced it quickly.  As the panel had been installed by J A C last May there was no charge for the service call or replacement of the cb.  That kind of support and response is rare these days and I can not recommend J A C Electric highly enough.

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

"Before making this purchase, be aware that you may have to wait up to three weeks or longer to get a service appointment. I ordered it on May 5 and they couldn't make it out until June 1. My A/C unit is at least 20 years old and I wanted to have a professional check it out even though I haven't had a single problem with it. The technical showed up on-time and put on a disposable set of shoe covers before entering. He immediately went into the furnace room and examined the furnace filter. He astutely noted it was dirty and in need of replacement. He later offered to replace it for $40. I declined because it's a simple task I can do myself for about $20 or $30. He walked outside and unscrewed my A/C unit. I'd cleaned it out last spring so it wasn't too dirty. He used my garden hose and spent about five minutes washing out some leaf debris. He asked if I'd had any problems with the unit and I replied it was in good working order. At his request, I went inside and turned on the A/C so he could conduct some simple tests. He said my compressor didn't sound good and offered to install a hard start for $180. He explained it would help lengthen the life of the compressor and delay the inevitable need to replace it. I declined the offer. He hooked up some equipment to the A/C unit and remarked that the capacitors were in good shape. He indicated some of the pressure readings he was getting were a bit off. He at first surmised it was due to the morning chill in the air and then added it might be due to the dirty air filter. He again recommended replacing the air filter and pitched a club membership at a cost of $10.50 per month that would cover annual maintenance visits and include a small discount on parts. I declined the offer. The entire visit last about 30 minutes. I didn't see him lubricate the blower motor and bearings or inspect the condensate drain system. Overall, I was satisfied with the service and would recommend this company to any educated consumer."

"We did not notify them that we had two furnaces to clean so we had to re-schedule when they arrived the first time. They were courteous about it and gave us a discount for the second unit."

"My main complaint is that I had to clean up after them- sweep around all vents & where they drilled small vent holes in the ducts. If I had known ahead of time, I could have put sheets down. I also had to clean up fingerprints that luckily wiped off OK. I was very happy to get my dryer vent cleaned & would give them an A- or B+ if it wasn't for the cleanup afterwards. He did clean up some on the kitchen floor."

He was prompt, efficient and helpful. He went through our the attic and found everything was ok. .

He didn't try to get me to buy additional services/goods.

Definitely worth it.  If I needed their services, I would use this company again.

FAQs for window a/c unit service or relocation projects in Lodi, OH

If your window air conditioner is relatively new or of high quality, repairing it can restore optimal performance and protect your investment. However, for older units or those with ongoing issues, it might be more cost-effective to replace the unit to ensure long-term efficiency and reliability. Consider the unit's age, the severity of the problem, repair costs versus replacement, and energy efficiency ratings when making your decision. If repairs cost more than half the price of a new unit, replacement is typically the better option.

Window air conditioners last eight to ten years on average. After this time, you may notice decreased efficiency and component wear. Replacing an older unit can improve energy savings and provide updated features like remote controls and better overall performance. With proper maintenance including regular filter cleaning, coil checks, and professional servicing, you can maximize your unit's lifespan.

If your portable AC isn't cooling, it might have a refrigerant leak or a circuit malfunction that's preventing it from working properly. It's best to contact a local air conditioner contractor to inspect and repair the unit. If your AC is older and repairs don't fix the issue, replacing it might be the most effective solution.

Removing a wall-mounted AC costs $55 to $75. Completing the removal yourself at the end of each summer season, being sure to do so according to proper guidelines, keeps you within this cost range. Should you require professional assistance for removal and disposal, if you can't move the unit yourself, expect an added fee of $25 to $50 to the overall cost.
