"Jon found the problem right away, explained how it happened, repaired the pipe and replaced the outside faucet. I had him replace a second outside faucet as well. He noted a small leak on the water heater, and after we discussed the age of the water heater, I had him replace the hot water heater and an older valve on the water meter. He completed everything in a shorter time than I expected. Before he left, showed me the controls on the new water heater and how to re-light the pilot if it ever went out. Jon was friendly, professional, and explained exactly what was needed. After he replaced the damaged pipes, the area where the pipes were was simplified, neater, and easier to access than it had been before. "I had an old water heater (was in the house when I moved in about 20 years ago) and it started to leak. After shutting off the water to the water heater, I did a little Angie's List research to find a company to do the replacement. I called a couple and decided to use Randy Lane, based on cost and my interaction with them, which I felt was cordial and helpful, and made an appointment.
The service person arrived on time on the day of the appointment and went to work. He disconnected the old heater and hauled it out. The new heater was brought in and he did the needed plumbing work to connect the water and also made the natural gas connections. He fired up the unit and briefed me on the new unit - how to turn-off the water and gas, if needed, temperature, etc.
The area was left in the same condition as when he arrived.
