Unfortunately with an ailing back and some long work hours, I hired Luis to take over my DE filter cleaning. That was 8 years ago and since he has replaced 2 different pool pumps and installed a new DE filter. I cannot be happier with the service that he provides. Luis is a hard working, honest individual but most importantly he has expert knowledge and deep experience with pool maintenance and repairs. I highly recommend R1 Pools as your next pool company."

Summary: Aqua Concepts rebuilt most of my pool (70-year-old, 20’x40’, 9’ deep maindrain, rectangular pool) from the rebar on up, replastered the pool, added new steps, pressure tested my maindrain, installed a split maindrain, and recommended a pool Startup party that I am very happy with. Time Frame: May-June 2021 (COVID time) Issues\Complaints: None My AquaConcepts contact: Chris was always available to answer my questions whether by text, phone call, or in-person visit. He did so in a timely manner. He also suggested alternate approaches and ideas that could be implemented during the rebuild. Very helpful. Background: Initially I planned only to replaster the pool. The surface looked OK except for a few “red spots” in the shallow end. Those spots turned out to be rusted rebar that had penetrated the plaster! This finding changed the entire nature of the job. AquaConcepts dug several “windows” into the plaster and it was evident that rust was widespread. To affect a reasonable rebuild price, they built a new rebar shell (say 6” above the old one), covered both rebar frames with shotcrete (at 3500 psi), bead blasted my existing tile (came out pretty good looking) and all this for half the price of a new pool (new pool of this size: 80-90k.) They also built the rebar shell for the new steps. (As I’m retired, I watched every step of the rebuild closely, asked lots of questions, and enjoyed the process)."

"This moving company was amazing! We had three men (Lurii, John, & Serg) help us for three hours. They were extremely fast-working and on top of things. They were also very careful moving furniture around and did not get any scratches or marks anywhere. We will definitely be using them again!

"I thought pool plumber did a pretty good job with this pump installation, up until the point I requested a receipt for the work done. The reason I asked them for a receipt was so I could turn my application in for a rebate.
First, I was put off, then, after a couple more requests - silence.
My question is: Why? This is the reason I give them a sub-standard review.

"The work itself went very smoothly.  Renovating my house, I had dealt with every kind of contractor (painting, construction, floors, plumbing, etc ? see my other reviews), and the guys at Crystal Pool & Spa were by far the best and easiest to deal with.  They were the only contractor that actually finished the project by the date that they said they would (not that I really cared since it was February and too cold to swim).  The whole process took about a week and a half.  One day to demolish the old plaster and tile.  One day to set up the baja shelf and shallow deep end.  One day to pour the concrete.  A few days to let the concrete settle, and then one more day each to add the tile and plaster.  All the crew members that came over to the house were polite and professional, and they always made sure to clean up whatever mess they made.  
I want to point out that when I moved into the house, the pool lights were not working.  I just figured they were burnt out since they were so old, and asked CPS to bring two new lights and add it to my bill.  But one of the workers found out that it was just an exterior fuse that need to be fixed, and did it for free.  So give them a big plus for honesty since they could have easily replaced the working lights in order to pad their bill.  
Finally, what matters the most is the finished product.  I have to say that the remodeled pool with the mosaic tile and baja shelf looks absolutely fantastic.  I felt like my pool looked better than many of the fancy hotel pools in Vegas (although on a much smaller scale).  After seeing my new pool, I wished I would have spent a bit more for some of their other products, like PebbleTec They even contacted me after the pool was finished to make sure that everything was great and that I was happy, and also that my pool guy was properly treating the new plaster.  Would absolutely recommend these guys for any kind of pool work."

"Exodus was wonderful , after quotes from many pool companies I decided to have SAMs company Exodus do the new construction on my pool. The price was excellent , but most importantly Sam had over 20 yrs experience in this field. He's men came here did a great job and my pool & concrete look beautiful ! "I am very pleased and even amazed at the transformation of my back yard. First, I must compliment Jesse, the landscape architect who designed my project. I had very specific "wants and needs" which he incorporated perfectly. The renderings and plans were excellent. The job supervisor, Leo, was very impressive. Even though he was overseeing quite a few other jobs, he never forgot any details or tweeks I wanted in my project. He was always very responsive. It took approximately 3 months to complete my project. I'm sure it would have taken other companies much longer as I saw happening when my neighbors had landscape work done at their homes. Many days there were 5-7 men on my job; they showed up promptly at 7 AM and worked very hard all day. They would also clean up the site at the end of each day. They were very experienced, as evidenced by the great work they did. I am a very particular person, so I closely watched the work being done. Santiago was often on-site and always checked the plans to be sure the job was being built as specified, He also expertly did much of the work himself. My backyard went from having very little useable or functional space to a place where I can easily entertain 50 or more people. When the job was done they did the final TLC, as Leo calls it, and they even washed my lower story windows and patio doors that were bordering the construction site. Final compliments to Jessica the office admin person and Richard the owner of the company. Unfortunately the photos were taken on a cloudy day and don't do the project justice."
