"We found Giant Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling here on Angie's List.  Doug scheduled a convenient time with us to replace our water heater.  He gave us a price ahead of time for his services and did not upcharge for anything.  He arrived on time and was very professional and knowledgeable, as well as friendly.  He was very detailed in explaining everything and even gave advice on other plumbing topics where we had concerns.  The expense of our particular water heater was more than the average electric or gas water heater because we had the power vent model.  Our old water heater was a State brand and we were very satisfied as it lasted us for 12 years, and he replaced it with a new State model, so we were very satisfied with that as well.
We found out he also services furnaces and air conditioning so we will also request his services for them when we need them because we feel he is reliable, knowledgeable and professional.  We would recommend him to anyone looking for the services he provides.

"Called because my refrigerator fan was making noise technician narrowed it down to the heater in the ice maker. Told me it was freezing up which was allowing water to get behind the back panel in the freezer, where the water would freeze and when the fan came on the fan would hit the ice. I informed him I could install the ice maker he had no problem with that he also advised me to completely defrost the refrigerator by shutting it off for 24 hours . So waiting on the ice maker from appliance zone and I'll install it and see what happens he did say call him back if there's a problem

"we have an attached solarium that has been a cooling and heating challenge in spite of being zoned into our home air and heat since construction.  Jim responded quickly to our inquiry and suggested a separate cooling/heating unit rather than just adding an automatic roof ventilation fan as suggested by the original builder of the solarium.  Jim felt it could be done as a wall unit and not for too much more than the other company wanted to complete a roof ventilation unit, and Jim's suggestion would  not risk the roof integrity of the solarium.  He had the unit framed, installed, and sheeted to match the solarium all within a day.  And, he stayed under the maximum estimate.  He also helped arrange an excellent electrician, Rich O'Shea, who installed a dedicated 220 line for the unit.  This was an excellent experience- professionalism and integrity all the way!

"Unfortunately not good. I had to put in a service call on three different occasions for the same appliance. Once in July, then again in August and in October. Each time I had to pay the service fee of $75.00. If it was repaired properly I would not have to continually call for repairs. However I do feel that this problem falls on the company that was contracted not Choice Home Warranty!"
