"They were great, came out to fix the problem next day. Checked that everything was working before they left for the day. Slight leak on toilet, came out to fix it. Very friendly and professional. "

"Technician arrived on time, was courteous and got the job done (just hope the fix stays).  Only issue I had was billing.  I was quoted and agreed to $115 trip charge + $89 diagnostic + $225 for the refrigerant for a total of $429.00.  This job was done on a Friday and when the office person called on Monday for payment I was told the cost was $464.00.  I explained to her what I was quoted and what we agreed to for the work.  I was never told anything different until the call for payment a few days later.  Unfortunately, the office person did not want to hear me and kept asking for a form of payment.  Did not feel the company cared too much about the customer side of service especially when I had agreed to the work and the costs ahead of time but later they charged me something higher.  It wasn't a huge dollar difference ($35) so instead of continuing to argue the matter, I simply paid it.  Perhaps on second thought I should've asked to speak with a manager.  I think I will give another company a chance next time. <br /> <br /> UPDATE: 09/25/2014 <br /> Mark from Darville company called me after seeing this review and he immediately credited me back the difference in the repair.  He was apologetic.  Given the response from the owner to quickly credit back the difference after seeing the post on Angies List, I think if there is an issue in the future with my AC I may give them another opportunity.  I appreciate their customer service on the backend albeit it would've been better if the office person would've handled it properly the first time."

"Mr Lester and crew dug about seven feet back under the slab to repair a leak in the sewer pipe. Excellent, careful and thorough work. I would definitely recommend this company. Work started the day I called, and was completed on the third day. Plumbing was only inoperable for about an hour. No dirt in the house, all work was done outside."

"We had an appointment scheduled with another plumber at 6pm at a new house we had purchased in Commerce. I got a call from that plumber at 4pm saying they could not make it because they were caught at another job and did not know when they would finish. We are still living in Dallas and had to move schedules and drive an hour to get here to meet the plumber. <br /> I went to Angie's list and found Doug Powers with Powers Plumbing. I explained my situation and he told me he could be at the location within an hour. He was right on time. <br /> I explained what I needed done, and he proceeded to get right to work and got our new sink, faucet, and disposal installed in just a little over an hour. He then fixed a leaking water line, that we had to have fixed prior to a new refrigerator being installed the next day. He had to make a quick run to get a part and fixed the problem exactly the way we wanted. <br /> They were extremely professional, and did an excellent job on all that they did. They cleaned up after themselves and everything has worked exactly the way we wanted and expected. The best part was the cost was not near what I expected based on my experiences with other plumbers. It was very fair and reasonable. I felt I got great value for what I paid. <br /> I will use Powers again and highly recommend them. Their responsiveness and the quality of their work was a breath of fresh air in the plumbing profession. <br />"

"After reviewing the options, I decided on TDT and relining of my pipes with epoxy. I was out of town during the process -- 3 days without water -- and arrived home the last day. The foreman of the crew and I talked every day of the job. They did a great job and obviously great care of my house. They cleaned up after the work was complete and there have been no leaks. Best of all, the water is more pure and clear than I have ever seen in any house I've lived in."

"I've had them quite a few times for different problems. They were great. They always come out the day that you call. I've never had an issue where they can't come that day or can't come for 3 days. They're very professional. They work very hard to make sure it's done right. The guys snaked the pipe several times until they got everything working right. They should hire them. They're just more expensive than others but they actually come out and get the job done."

"He arrived as scheduled. The leak was a serious problem requiring the water main to be shut off. He provided emergency service within an hour. He is clean, neat and removes all trash including vacuuming up after himself. His copper solder joints are a work of art! He holds a Master Plumber License # M-38706 issued from the State of Texas. He is also fully insured. Too bad the plumber that originally put the pipe in the wall wasn't! Please remember that he is a plumber, not a dry wall contractor so any plasterboard restoration must be scheduled separately. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Marble Falls, TX

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
