"We were beginning a very extensive remodeling project and called upon Dave and ProCrete to assist us with a portion. ProCrete remodeled our basement making it flood elevation compliant. He and his crew did an outstanding job laying foundation, concrete, flood vents etc.. We also called upon ProCrete for some additional work necessary on our home to complete our remodel. In working with Dave he always responded promptly, was highly professional and addressed each aspect with attention to detail in all ways. Dave and ProCrete were always knowledgeable and their professional guidance was important to our decision process. He always communicated with us quickly and clearly. In addition, Dave was compassionate and understanding about our objectives and how to conquer those goals in economical way to suit our budget. He and his crew provided a high level of integrity to each portion of the project they tackled. We have continued to work with Dave and ProCrete as we move through our remodel to its’ final stage and would highly recommend him and his firm."

"This was my second time using A-List Concrete. The outstanding work they accomplished replacing damaged sidewalk sections at my old home made this a no-brainer decision. Ron and his Team did another AMAZING job replacing the damaged concrete walkway at my new home. The workmanship is top-notch and the price was very reasonable. I was really impressed (again) by their attention to detail, including the clean-up. They even carefully replaced the sod pieces on my lawn, in addition to ensuring that my lawn and adjacent driveway was completely clean after the job. I give A-List Concrete my HIGHEST recommendation for ANY concrete work you may need in the South Jersey area."

"All the work completed was outstanding!  Great workmanship, responsiveness was excellent and price was good.  This was an all around great experience. Our bathrooms turned out really nice.  Marco is extremely thoughtful and professional.  He is open and honest about his schedule and when work will be done.  He communicates clearly and advises effectively on different options and decisions that need to be made.  He emails, sends pictures, text messages and does whatever it takes to make sure you are informed and comfortable with the work being done and the decisions that need to be made.  After he finished my bathrooms and fireplace I had Marco come back to paint my front door and move our dining area chandelier.  This work also went extremely well.  In addition to doing great work Marco kept our unit unbelievably clean and dust free throughout the renovation - not easy given that we were having old tile removed from the bathrooms.  I would highly recommend Marco and plan to use him again myself. <br />"

"I found this company here on Angies list. I read all the reviews and now I want to add mine. Bob Cowan answered my phone call immediately and came the next day. He not only re-cleaned our flue that had just been done but installed a new flue into our badly constructed chimney. Even after having to cut into our chimney 2x to get the flue to fit he stuck to his original quote. Bob (and both of his crew) were extremely professional and the kind of company you don't find too often. DON"T hesitate to call him."

"This was a fairly complex remediation project on our 12 year old house, primarily due to hail storm damage on the roof and to repair significant water damage behind our stucco.  We took the opportunity to enhance the look of our house as we repaired the roof and stucco problems.  The project was loud, messy, and had duration of several weeks. <br /> There were two major contractors involved in this project:  Ed Griffin Masonry and Ferris Home Improvement.  Due to the nature of the repairs, the two contractors needed to coordinate their efforts.  There was a significant difference in the responsiveness and professionalism of the two different contractors.   <br />   * The staff at Ferris was extremely flexible, responsive, and well organized.  Despite some drama and glitches with the project, Ferris went the extra mile to ensure the customer was happy.  Ferris got the required permit without involving the homeowner.  A special shout out to Spencer, Mike, and Pedro for their patience, flexibility, and all their extra efforts! <br /> * The experience working with Ed Griffin Masonry was frustrating and unpredictable.  Quite often, it was necessary to contact Ed several times before there was any response.  When there was a response or a visit to the house, it was often at unexpected times or with little or no notice.  It was very difficult to plan my schedule under these circumstances.  In addition, the required permits were not obtained by the contractor, as required in Concord Township.  This resulted in some unnecessary confusion and drama when the Township Inspector came for a visit and saw two major projects underway, but only one permit. <br /> To be fair to Ed Griffin Masonry, we recognize that stucco remediation work is much more specialized and less predictable.  It was much harder to find a qualified contractor to do this type of work than it was to find a qualified roofer, which may be why the responsiveness was lousy.  There are too many unfortunate homeowners who need stucco remediation services and not enough providers!  Ed Griffin Masonry, which includes three teams of people who specialize in different aspects of the work are literally led by a band of very experienced brothers/brothers-in-law.  Once the three teams got started, it was a flurry of activity, which included many different aspects of construction.  It was nice to have one contractor take care of the full stucco/mold/drywall/window remediation, without having to get additional contractors involved.  The team appeared to be very experienced in all aspects of the work. <br /> In summary, we feel the work performed by both contractors was very good and we are happy with the overall result of the project.  However, it was a more time consuming, messy, and stressful process than we ever imagined.   Very happy it is over! <br /> <br />"

"The man who came out to inspect my house foundation, Tom Kelly, was very polite, informative, and honest. He did a thorough inspection and spoke with me about my concerns. He let me know that the foundation of my house was in fine condition and no work needed to be done. I had previously had another company inspect my foundation and declare I needed a crawlspace wall pinned, and they were going to charge me $6, 600! Because Basements Love Us, Inc. was honest with me and didn't try to invent a problem that wasn't actually there, I wanted others to know they can trust this company and if I ever need work done in the future, I know who to call. Shannon at the office is also wonderful--very responsive and professional. It's nice to know there are still honest people out there!"

"Went great.....5's across the board. Reasons: 1) Best quote process. I always get multiple quotes for a project. These guys were first to respond, and with the most complete quote. I went back to them with a few changes needed. Sent someone out the next day, had the revised quote in 3 days. And accurate. 2) Quality of work.....both the power wash and painting look to be top quality. In both cases asked the crew to do something additional while they were on site. Did it immediately with a smile. 3) People....everyone on the two crews was personable, clean, eager to please. They needed to come back and finish when we weren't here. Had to leave a door open for them to do that. Hesitated but did it. Finished the work, locked the door behind them....no issues = trust! All in all, quality work, fair price, good people. Will definitely be going back to them for anything else I need on the Shore house."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Marmora, NJ

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
