"Lane came out and listened to all our needs. He walked us through a very clear plan for our basement. They gave us a reasonable quote and were able to schedule us a few weeks later. It took them 2 days to do the work and it was done very professionally. The crew was extremely nice. They brought extra plastic to make sure all our belongings were covered. They even helped me move my washer and dryer! They made sure everything was clean and to our standards before they left. The whole experience has been great and I highly recommend them for whoever is having water issues in their basement or crawl space."

"John and the team at Jaso exceeded my expectations. I reached out to them in the morning...by that afternoon John was on site and scheduled my work 7 days later! The price was fair (not the cheapest). I paid a little extra because of the quality of work I believed they perform. The team came a week later as promised and built me a 3rd driveway, a new sidewalk, and extended my back patio in about 10 hours. Their crew was professional and the clean up was done really well. If you need concrete work and you can get em’ I’d use Jaso again for sure!"

"Provided a competitive quote for services. Were unable to do framing corrections, but foundation pier solution was at a competitive price. Our buyer cancelled the sale, but I believe the seller went with this company to do the work."

"I had conducted both a short test (First Alert) and a 6 month long alpha track test (AccuStar) to determine the level of radon present in the finished below-grade room of my house.  Both test results showed that the radon level was elevated significantly above the EPA's maximum safe level of 4.0 pCi/L ( the short test indicated 8.2 and the long test was 7.1). <br /> Based on Angie's List reviews and the recommendation of a neighbor, Basement and Radon Solutions was selected to provide a quote for a mitigation system.  Following a visit to my home, Stanley provided several choices for the location of the system.  After discussing the pros and cons of each option with Stanley, a solution was chosen which provides effective mitigation and minimal visual impact. <br /> Stanley and his assistant, Roy, were very punctual and did a very professional and neat installation.  Stanley explained his work to me at every step of the way.   Stanley then set up his radon detector to determine the level of effectiveness of the system.   The reading taken after several days of testing was below 1 pCi/L, much lower than the EPA's danger point.   <strong>The system reduced my radon level to one eighth of the level that was present without the system.</strong> <br /> Several days later the electrician, Joe Holbert, completed the permanent wiring to the radon blower. <br /> I am totally satisfied, and now feel safe about using the below grade level of my home. <br />"

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Mars Hill, NC

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
